Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has spoken for the first time about the controversy involving singer Arijit Singh, who wrote a open apology letter to Salman on his Facebook page.
When a journalist asked Salman about Arijit Singh, the actor said “Who is that?”
He then added that it’s the producer (Aditya Chopra) and director (Ali Abbas Zafar) who decide the best voice for the film. The actor also said they rejected his voice. Rejection, he said, is life and there is no reason to get so upset or hurt.
“In every film, there are lot of singers who sing. It’s the director and producer who make the choice of who is going to be the best voice for the film. One voice was mine but that was also rejected. So why get so upset and hurt? This is life. Then smart comments, post (Facebook).. you come to know the intentions (Arijit’s)” Salman said.

Removing Arijit’s voice and adding Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice is a shame on Indian Film industry. I will tell a controversy between music legends of yesteryears viz., Mohd Rafi and OP Nayyar, whose combination was one of the best of those times.
Once Rafi was late for the recordings and the music team of OP had to wait. When enquired why Rafi was getting late, he came to know that Rafi was busy with a rival music director’s recording.
This infuriated the music director and he stopped recording songs with Rafi. It was very rare of Rafi to be late, but he got stuck up and though Rafi sent his apologies, OP did not relent. This went on for 3 long years.
One final day, Rafi decided to end this and he went directly to OPs house and the moment he saw him, he went and hugged him. They both hugged each other, shed some tears, and OP said these words, that, “Today you proved, Rafi, that you are not only a great singer, but a better human being”.
When you want to end things, you just meet, talk and resolve it, and don’t sent feelers through other people, post on facebook, twitter etc., It only fuels the controversy and hurts egos. The media is looking for such silly gossips to fuel it to gain TRPs, so the simple way is to keep quiet and solve it in person.
Arijit will not lose anything if he goes and meet in person and talk, but the humbleness will lift him leap and bounds in his career.
Abe non-actor villager, don’t take Arijit as granted. You removed his song from your movie (which shows how cheap you are), still producers and music directors are lined-up in front of his house. So don’t think that you can hamper his career by any means.
It was a nice gesture by Arijit that he asked your apology or else a gawar like you only deserves disrespect.
