ABCD 2 was the biggest opener of 2015, Tanu Weds Manu Returns was the highest grosser of 2015 and Akshay Kumar was the star of the year so far what with both his films performing reasonably well at the box office.
Then came Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Not only did the film break all previous records of the year, but more than doubled the previous best.
Only two films – Salman’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (November) and Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale (December) – can challenge the records that Salman has set with Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
