Ra One has broken all records for it’s opening weekend with a record Rs 85.5 crores (BOI figures) at the box-office. This includes the hindi version and the regional (Tamil, Telugu) dubbed versions.
Released on Wednesday, Ra one’s first day was affected by Diwali celebrations. Thursday was record-breaking with 24 – 25 crores, easily the biggest day in history. Friday and Saturday were around 15 – 16 crores, while the big disappointment was the Sunday collections.
On Sunday, Ra One opened well for the morning shows, but fell below expectations for the later shows. Mixed word-of-mouth and poor collections at single-screens undoubtedly affected business on Sunday, which usually witnesses a 15% jump in collections.
According to Boxoffice India, the Hindi version did 81 crores of business while the regional dubbed version collected 4.5 crores for the weekend.
Great weekend for Ra One although a little below what we expected, given the pre-release craze for the film. Weekdays will be extremely crucial.
P.S – Ra One is officially Shahrukh Khan’s biggest grosser ever, edging Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in it’s first weekend itself.

Indicine- one day ago you said it earned 74 crores nett in 4 days,now you changing it to 85.5 crores in 5 days, sunday collections was somewhere 16-17 crores, so it should be 74+16-17=90-91 crores nett in india in 5 days according to you, also eros international has declared 96 crores nett in india and 32.75 crores in the overseas in 5 days, what do you have to say about it? Firstly think is it realy possible?
Acording to that report:-
96 cr in India.
37 cr in Overseas
133 cr. Total.
Now tell me about remaining 37 cr.
There is clearely not mentioned about that fig. in that report.
Now according to Komal & Taran domastic collections are 91 to 92.BOI said its 85.
Take it anything between 85 to 92 cr.
According to that report its 96 cr.

To put my point i m taking 3I example.
Say 3I cost was 60cr , and 1800 prints. earned 200cr..
Now my point is if it may cost 100 crore to make will the final number changes.
If the prints increases will the final number change..

As those who wants to see the movie will see it may be 1st day or 2nd or most 1 week.. So with screen only thing which change is first week collection. If they didnt get the first week ticket they will see in next week…. So ultimately the final figure doesnt change much………….

Anti Srks are saying it released with more prints thn bodyguard by 1000 prints…
The actual runtime of Bodyguard was 30min less than Ra1… So no of shows of bodyguard was more than Ra1…. ANd they r hesitant to include tamil , telgu prints in net collection claiming they r reginoal should not be included in Hindi version… But my dear friend u have included tht prints by claiming more of 1000 prints.
if u dont want to include tamil, telgu prints thn ra1 released in more of 750 prints….
What matters ultimately in net collection…… prints budget r not a part of the discussion…
