Ra One will have a wider release in early 2012 in South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Brazil, Spain, Italy and Greece. The film released overseas in 3D on Saturday.

For the last 2 decades its was and will always be a three way tussle between SRK,Salman and Aamir. Hrithik,Ranbir,Imran etc do not belong to this age group. Ajay and Akshay were anyways never in the scene until a few years ago. And its a known fact that Aamir does the best quality cinema as an actor as well as a producer. SRK as a producer has been a complete flop. Latest example of that is his movie called Always Kabhi Kabhi. Lets not even compare that to the likes of Peepli Live and Delhi Belly(which were both big hits).

LOL! SRK is more profitable than any other actor? His Asoka was a disaster and lost money. His MNIK also made some losses despite record breaking overseas collections. His Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani also made losses. Ra 1’s losses are also there whether they admit it now or not. Sooner or later they will! Even Krissh, Koi Mil Gaya, Kaho Na Pyar Hai, Lagaan, RDB, 3 Idiots made hell lot of money through brand tie ups and merchandise. If you guys are counting things like anciliary rights, brand tie ups etc. to call Ra 1 biggest grosser, then don’t forget to add the same revenues to existing grosses of other stars’ movies. Got it?
Check out latest updated collections on BOI.com, NG and Box Office Kings – 3 Idiots is neck to neck with MNIK overseas and in places like USA, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan – it beat MNIK by a huge margin! It is still running in Hong Kong, South Korea and will pretty soon reach equal to MNIK – if not cross it. Also keep in mind, 3I reached this far even though it was released in lesser territories than MNIK and that too, almost 2 years after its release in 2009! Whereas MNIK released in more countries, with more prints, less time gap and all hype about it being a global film.
Also, Aamir and Salman have also given many hits be it QSQT, MPK, HAHK, Raja Hindustani, Dil, Lagaan, TZP, RDB, Ghajini, Biwi No. 1, HDDCS, Judwaa, Jeet, Saajan, HHRPK, Rangeela, HSSH, No Entry, Tere Naam etc. – it is not only your SRK who has been giving hits. 3I is certainly not the only hit in Aamir’s career, nor is Dabangg or BG the only super success in Salman’s career.

Hrithik’s Dhoom 2 and Krissh beat SRK’s multistarrer KANK hands down in 2006. His Paheli was rejected on arrival in 2005, unlike Mangal Pandey which was record-breaking opener of its time. Mangal Pandey is not outright flop, it is rated as average due to its record first week. In 2000, Hrithik beat SRK’s multistarrer Mohabbatein with his Kaho Na Pyar Hai. As for no godfather theory. Well, Abhishek Bachchan has the biggest godfather anyone can ask for, and we all know how big a star he is! So many examples of star kids disappearing into oblivion – Mimoh, Kumar Gaurav, Shashi Kapoor’s son etc.

Who said Aamir’s next film is a remake? Reema Kagti film is original and not based on any South Indian film or any sequel. Dhoom 3 is the first ever sequel in Aamir’s career. And 3 Idiots is not remake of any Southie film!
Who is stopping SRK from remaking films or doing sequels? He did remake Billu which flopped. John recently did Force which was remake of super hit Kaakha Kaakha, what records he made? Merely doing remakes doesn’t guarantee success or records. Akshay’s Khatta Meetha, Shahid’s Chupke Chupke were all remakes of South films. But flops! And yeah, Salman’s Dabangg is original, not a remake of any South film!
