After a record-breaking Thursday (Day 2), Ra One started slow on Friday. Morning collections were down by about 40%, but collections picked up for the afternoon and evening shows. Some multiplex owners reported drop in collections in Mumbai and Gujarat.
Collections in North India has held up strongly and the drop is only about 15% compared to yesterday. The word-of-mouth is mixed, but not negative. Trending is expected to be similar to Bodyguard – huge first week and sharp drops later.
What’s also working for Ra One is the 3D version and today (Friday) the film released in 3D on a few more screens, which will help boost collections.
We expect Day 3 to be around 15 crores (net). More updates soon, stay tuned.

Ra.One has created history in First Three Days. It has broken Bodyguard’s first 3 days collections and new records are created. But the question remains for how long? Here is indepth analysis for 1st 3 days, comparing Ra.One and Bodyguard.

When Bodyguard release it broke Dabangg all time record of opening day collection by a huge margin of 7 crore nett gross. Dabangg opening day collection was 14.5 crore nett, whereas Bodyguard was 21.5 crore nett. Also, another point is Bodyguard after a earth shattering opening, remain rock steady all extended weekend and also showed jump on Satruday and then on Sunday.
