The Tsunami named 3 Idiots that has swept the nation off its feet has claimed one more victim after last Friday’s 3 releases which went unnoticed, in the form of Yashraj Films latest release Pyaar Impossible.
The romcom date film starring Priyanka Chopra and Uday Chopra has failed to open to decent numbers at the box office. In India, the film has managed to nett less than 4 crores during its first weekend and witnessed further drops during the weekdays.
To put things into perspective, the Week 3 Friday business of 3 Idiots is more than the combined business of Pyaar Impossible during its entire 3 day weekend.
Dulha Mil Gaya the other release this week with Shahrukh Khan in a special appearance has been rejected outright, the film hasn’t even managed a face saving opening.

@ Sami i like SRK. da trailor MNIK was good but da songs r not so good. ofcourse da film is gonna have a big opening. SRK is back in lead role after RNBDJ. but as a Muslim am sick and tired of dese sort of films. for God’s sake. NEW YORK, KURBAAN. and now MNIK. cant dese dircetors be more imaginative.

How do you know that My Name is Khan is the same as New York and Kurbaan, didnt both of those films suggest that it is correct to be an American first and a muslim later, did both not suggest that Islam could be used as a tool of revenge, i dont see this in any of the trailers for MNIK so i think it is a vastly different film. But like you said only time will tell (and the content) if this film does well.
