PK is still going strong at the box office, even though a film like Tevar released in theatres last weekend. The Aamir Khan – Anushka Sharma starrer has completed 25 successful days at the box office and should finish its glorious run with total collections of Rs 340-342 crore net.
Having set records for the highest first week (Hindi version), second week and third week, the fourth week collections will be the second best ever after 3 Idiots.
The distributors share of PK will be around the 163 crore mark, which is by the far the highest for any film in the history of Indian Cinema. In fact, the distributors share of PK is higher than the lifetime collections of all but 9 films (i.e only 3 Idiots, Ek Tha Tiger, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Krrish 3, Chennai Express, Dhoom 3, Kick, Bang Bang and Happy New Year have collected more than Rs 163 crore!)

Hirani is like Dravid. He is slow and steady. His innings are always the longest. While Shetty is like Sehwag. Comes on crease, hits big sixes and walks away quickly.
I prefer Dravid any day over Sehwag!

I wrote earlier too that today in bollywood there are 3 finest actors with super-stardom; AAMIR, SHAHRUKH and HRITHIK. But Aamir is far ahead due to the perfection in choosing the best scripts. When Shahrukh was busy doing the movies with the camps of Fahrah, Johar and YRF and rejecting Hiranis and Hrithik busy being over perfectionist and super hero, Aamir went on choosing the best scripts and took himself to another level when he did films with Hirani.
About Salman, yes he is the superstar in India (not overseas), ther biggest crowd puller (dont really know how!!!) but he is never at the league of Aamir, Shahrukh and Hrihtik in acting.
And Irrfan Khan is the best possible actor in bollywood but he lacks the super-stardom that we all know.

@Dynamic, yes, no one knows aamir outside india, that’s why his lagaan was nominated for oscar and that’s why he is keep raping srk in overseas by crossing 25 millions USD not once, twice but thrice. while srk is yet to debut in 25 million USD club in overseas. srk better should get some supporting role in megastar aamir’s movie, at least he will get some money. srk should be compared to rohit sharma not aamir. aamir should be compared to sachin. srk is the real rohit sharma who got fluke hits and fluke popularity in overseas thanks to YRF and Dharma. otherwise his stardom is less than zayed khan.

My opinion always prices go up and changes the collection number. Otherwise all same like before. . 5 years back prices were low now increased a lot. Reality is good movie watched twice with no other good movie after this. If good movies comes week after week no one watch same movie twice.

Shetty came 4 years after Hirani with increased ticket price and wider screen release. Chennai Express’s weekend was almost 3 times bigger than 3 idiots. And the lifetime collection of Chennai Express was 230 crores (If you go by BOI it is just 208 crores.)
And I am not even talking about the humongous critical success of Hirani. With 3 national awards, all cult classics. Just going on commercial success, Hirani is way bigger than Shetty. And tell me, is the scorpio trash of shetty better than 3 Idiots/Munna Bhai films? Hirani is a brand which ensures entertainment with genuine emotion. Shetty is no where near him!
Shetty will beat PK’s record in 2018. When his opening weekend will be 200 crores! Anyways this masala genre is already dying and even die hard Srk fans agree that he should do sensible cinema like Chak De or Swades. Prabhu Deva has witnessed this, Farah has witnessed this (she still got lucky because Srk ensured a huge weekend.) the only man left is Shetty.
Want to see his scorpio getting punctured by sensible cinema. Hope srk does movies like Fan. They’ll give him both numbers and acclaim. Shetty is Michael Bay of India!
