Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who delivered the industry’s biggest grosser Dhoom 3 in December last year, says his audience is not interested in his films after ‘Satyamev Jayate’.
“I have certain responsibility as an actor and post ‘Satyamev Jayate’ people don’t see me as an actor (laughs).. When I was shooting in Rajasthan for ‘PK’, the reporters there didn’t ask me a single question about the film, they all were interested in ‘Satyamev Jayate’.”
“I think people are not interested in my film and it’s time for me to retire. ‘Achha ho gaya ‘Dhoom 3’ ne bacha liya, it did well,” said the actor.
The third season of Satyamev Jayate will begin in September this year.
“It has been an encouraging journey so far. I am so happy with the response. This season we will deal with some new topics,”

Is Aamir Khan’s box office overrated?
This is a post to discuss Aamir Khan’s career purely from perspective of box office.
Aamir Khan appeared onscreen as an adult for first time in Holi (1984). But Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak is considered his debut as a full fledged lead (1988). He’s been around for more than 24 years now (if you leave Holi and take QSQT as start of his career). In total he’s done around 38 films till date as actor (Talaash being latest release). Here are box office verdicts for each:

As usual srk’s jobless fans are back. Whenever aamir’s article is posted, they don’t leave single opportunity to bark like cowards and showing their insecurity for their fav stars. Anyways jealousy follows only those who are Farr better and better.
I am a huge fan of srk and Hrithik!! But I respect Aamir and his films a lot too. As a lover of bollywood cinema, I don’t think any top actor should retire soon till the younger generation can have an established fan base. I mean, when the khans retire, who can deliver the 200cr movies except Hrthik, Ranbir, Akshay and Ajay, all 4 of whom have an outside chance. Till the younger generation gets stronger, it won’t be good for bollywood if the khans retire. And personally, I think aamir has always given this industry something new like rang de basanti, lagaan and tzp. He’s a great film maker and has a great sense of script selections. Personally, I want the khans to make good films, not just money spinners. I think that srk, salman and aamir have a huge fan base now that they can now try making experimental films more. Owing to their stardom, these films will easily collect good money. Thats why, waiting desperately for PRDP, fan, raees.

Now, the game has changed. The actor has to promote the film. It is a big pain. And promotions are just getting ‘cheaper’. People are going to any limits to promote their film. It is ridiculous. I feel the audience should see the promos andsongs of the film and then decide if they want to watch the movie or not. We should do a few interviews here and there but that is it. It gets repetitive and boring after a while.”Well, while the other two Khan’s are famous for their innovative strategies of film promotions, this third Khan still believes in the old school. But with the moolah his movies collect at the box-office, we wonder, does he really need aggressive promotion?

Why a film lyk Taare zameen par clashed with Welcome and still was a blockbuster while your feku star who self promotes himself as ‘king’ cannot do anything when his film JTHJ clashed with a smaller stars SOS and did only 102 crs with top director Yash chopra, top heroine, top music director. It is nt dhoom which saved Aamir becoz everyone appreciated what Aamir did wid dhoom series. In fact it is rohit shetty who saved your feku kings career after back to back flops.

Srk is overrated. He is never been people’s favorite, he is just media made star. He will be forgotten as superstar, while aamir and Salman will be remembered forever. All hits of srk were yrf/ dharma based hits. Also many blockbusters had bhai jaan(kkhh) and big b(k3g). So he is the last khan. Haters are burning in jealousy as aamir is far ahead of both srk and Salman in domestic as well as overseas.
