Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming film ‘Mohenjo Daro’, which is one of the biggest and most anticipated films of 2016.
It marks the return of Ashutosh Gowariker, the director of the Oscar nominated film ‘Lagaan’ and other critically acclaimed classics like ‘Swades’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
Hrithik, who had earlier said the film was a ‘biggie’, has promised to take the audience to an era that has been forgotten. For those unaware, the actor was referring to the civilisation named Mohenjo Daro that existed in the province of Sindh, Pakistan back in 2500BC.
The superstar tweeted “Journeys that test strength of character are ones you should be most PROUD OF! Its a WRAP!”

Within a few minutes of Hrithik’s tweets, #MohenjoDaro became the top trend on Twitter India.
Also starring Pooja Hedge in the lead, Mohenjo Daro will be Hrithik’s first film in nearly 2 years. The magnum opus releases in theatres on August 12.

Greedy Gobar was defeated 2 times by Ajay back in 2009, and 2010 when ATB beat blue and golmaal 3 crushed bandar giri replay so do you really think that Gobar can even stand in front of Hrithik? Of course not! I am with MD from day one and will watch it FDFS….!!! While custom will surely be watched one Cr it airs on tv.
@Babaji, Total Siyapa was completely different genre for him. A genre he had never tried and doesn’t belong to him. It was like Shakespeare writing a rap song for Lil Wayne. It was just an experiment for him. Even if we consider it as a failure, then it’s just 1 failure out of 5 film (4 have been critically and commercial success). He has much better understanding about films like Rustom.
Rustom is not just a thriller, it is based on real life incidents, it might have patriotic feel to it, just like Airlift, which was a blockbuster. I have also read somewhere that it has a love story as well. It’s releasing on perfect time when audience are accepting films with rich content, on the proudest day for Indians.
Illiana and Eesha might not be popular faces in Bollywood, but people still know them, recognize their faces.
It has every ingredients to be a success, the biggest disadvantage for it (for both films) is the clash.
Hahaha…..main na kehta…. this #buddha ka ullu is just a jokerboy fan. sometimes just hide behind the success of hrithik. Today he has shown his true color!!!

Akki in 2011 — Desi boys 8crs opening even in his worst phase,HR’s ZNMD 7crs opening
Akki in 2012 — Highest non holiday opener RR,HF 2 100crs+ … Agneepath even with good reviews,excellent performances,chikni chameli couldn’t cross RR.
2013 — Bad year for Akki,Special 26 worked due to content,OUATIMD n Boss bad films.
Krrish 3 huge franchise film worked big time but still no one believes 244crs figure except indicine n HR fans.
2014 — Akki clean hit holiday,HR semi hit bang bang! Again no one believes 181crs figure.Distributors did lose money for Bang bang.And it got 4-5 holidays too initially.
And probably these Krrish 3 n bang bang both of which big films with big starcast that enjoyed holidays and collected more than niche Akki films like Baby has made u think Hrithik is light years ahead of Akki.

Superstar Hrithik Roshan is back after 22 months and people are waiting bated breathing to see him on screen..!! The excitement will gonna zoom up for everyone after seeing trailer that HR is competing with crocodiles, bulls and tigers..!!
Coming to the clash, I really dont its clash between Mohenjodaro n Rustom because Rustom hardly will do 80 max in solo and the clash means it will folded under 50crs. But this clash will reduce the screens for Mohenjodaro same as Hider movie did with BangBang..!!!
I respect akshay alot and it would be a wise decision to avert this clash so that Mohenjodaro can get biggest release of bollywood..!!! I have not at all interest in Rustom But damn excited to see Housefull3..!!

Rustom is a small film and looking for 90-100 cr business worldwide. Production company is looking for the EXTRA business by creating EXTRA hype with the clash. It is a marketing strategy and they are trying to gain same advantage which caused Haider to collect 90 cr worldwide. Haider had good content but many films with good content bombed on box office.
This clash will only create profit for Rustom…. But if Mohenjo Daro receives same Baahubali’s WOM then clash will be costly for Rustom’s makers.
