  • And Emraan continues to kiss with the hope that someone will watch him.

I found the cricket match scenes in Azhar too unrealistic and dramatic. Who bats like that?

  • It should have been produced by some other production house.Ekta is too miser when it comes to spending movie on sets and locations.
But Emraan is looking good as Azhar

  • @Neeraj

mohenjodaro will be epic disaster. Hrithik is wearing clothes in pics which ppl of that time didn’t wear.

    Rustam in august only.

  • @Neeraj

bro, get a life. The cover drive in the scenes were trademark Azhar shots which u will never know.

The acting and dialog delivery of emraan in the whole promo is better than Hrithik’s shivering act in most of his lame and stupid films like Bang bang, Krrish3 etc..

  • Looks like a flop. After watching azhar trailor i am not interested in this movie. From trailor it seems that cricket matches looks very unrealistic which is very dissapointing for biopic.

And i think that story may also have some manipulation.

  • one of the best song of Armaan carrier after Main Rahu ya Nah rahu ek no
Emmi luking to cute n handsome..

  • @neeraj
azhar is definitely going to open more than kapoor and sons ,ki n ka , on the basis of just emraan star-power , unlike Alia, kareena, fawad stardom..

So why the hell r u burning? Apply burnol and enjoy the disaster run of mohenjodaro at box-office.

  • Background music of Azhar is very good…. azhar trailer was the best of this year 2016..

@neeraj Why r u criticising Azhar biopic and licking the feet of ki and ka?..

  • The writer of the upcoming biopic ‘Azhar’ on balancing the facts with the drama.
He is the man who is credited with reviving 1970s-style Hindi film dialogue, creating lines that rhyme and words that are potent ammunition for the characters that fire them at will. Rajat Aroraa, who has written such hits asOnce Upon a Time in MumbaaiandThe Dirty Picture, is back on a different pitch. The 40-year-old writer, who started out with the ridiculously successful showCIDon television, has authored the upcoming biopicAzhar, based on the life of Mohammed Azharuddin, one of most controversial and successful captains of the Indian cricket team. In a conversation with Scroll.in, Aroraa talks about the challenges of making dialogue work for a film about cricket and why we should not judge a biopic by its trailer.
You have always dealt with fictional characters. What was your biggest challenge while working on ‘Azhar’?
The biggest challenge was to maintain the authenticity of the story while ensuring that there is enough drama in it for the audiences. One cannot take too many liberties with what has happened in a person’s life. The tough task was to strike a balance between reality and cinematic requirements. Sometimes a simple, seemingly inconsequential event in someone’s life could be a big moment for the audience. My endeavour was to look for those moments that could be converted to the screen, while sticking to facts.
    The trailer of ‘Azhar’.
You are known for a certain kind of dialogue…
    And what is that?
The kind that gets people whistling and cheering every time the characters mouth a line. The lines work in ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’, which have flamboyant and larger-than-life characters. But Azharuddin is different – a shy, introverted man of few words. How did you work the brief?
It is always the subject that shapes the dialogues. Not the other way around. Each film has its own colour that colours the dialogues. WithOnce Upon a Time, we wanted to break away from the usual gangster film dialogues, which had been done to death, which is why we wanted to adopt the 70s’ style of writing. InThe Dirty Picture, which was set in the ’80s, the character was flamboyant, unafraid to speak her mind, bindaas. So we wrote the dialogues accordingly.
Azhar may be a man of few words, but he does have profound thoughts. And it was evident when we met him and interacted with him. He speaks really well. And that is what we wanted to capture in this film.

  • This movie looks promising. People who know azhar will love this movie
because they knew the way he played. The way Emraan Hashmi is walking is
even taken from Azhar in real life and every little thing is real. This
movie isn’t a biopic, it’s based on the match fixing event from Azhars
life. . Myself am not the biggest Emraan
Hashmi fan but he looks promising in a role like this. Peace ??

@Neeraj u can’t expect sid malhotra, Hrithik Roshan, arjun kapoor to play tough roles like this having grey shades. .. Get a life u bed-bug..

  • People attacking me for not liking a movie trailer? Lol. Get a life guys..

BO collections of the film will be a slap on your faces. Azhar won’t even cross 50.

This looks like B grade shit compared to Ms Dhoni biopic teaser..

  • @Neeraj

Azhar trailer is way better than Dhoni teaser.. Dhoni teaser was 2rs regional film level teaser..

  • mohanjodaro goes prem ratan dhan payao way
    today audience diffrent from past

in past soraj barjatya is superb director now after prdp you know

ashutosh is superb director in past
