Two new ‘close up’ posters of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro are out and they look good! Hrithik Roshan plays the role of Sarman, while Pooja Hegde is his lady-lady Chaani.
The film has been in news right from the time the trailer was released.
Set in 2016BC (more than 4100 years ago), Mohenjo Daro is an epic adventure film which is scheduled to release in theatres on August 12 this year. The music of the film has been composed by A.R. Rahman.

if this movie was in 2010 i could understand. Bt these days wen hollywood movies watched so much bahubali n baajirao was so lavish. Its difficult for MDJ. Best luck hritik n do atlest 2 movies per year.

“Hey fellow kindergarteners I have just seen Jadoo Boys new epic poster where once again his glorious eyes are on full display. Wow those eyes are magical yet deadly. If I concentrate hard enough then I can see into Ritiks evil soul n see my beloved Jadoos last moments before he was savagely ravaged by Ritik but I cant look anymore. Those eyes are really intense- its like a wormhole to another galaxy where Jadoos live peacefully without the threat of Maanvars like my Ritik coming n kidnapping them n killing the leftovers. Oh those eyes tell a different story once you delve alittle deeper beyond the fake initial beautiful glory. Really intense look.
My honest rating- 5/5”

I saw the trailer of Mohenjo Daro in a theater last weekend here in UAE while I went to watch a Malayalam movie and it was just FABULOUS on the big screen. And this is gonna rock!
I can’t understand why so much negativity around this movie honestly though I am not a hritik fan still the trailer amused me, hritik devoted 2 years of his career it’s unfair to judge the movie by the trailer. I’m damn sure this gonna create & break few records all the best hritik desperately waiting for it, I’ll watch it first day itself.

Most of comments on Youtube are positive now, I feel the initial reaction was a huge overreaction for whatever reason (sky high expectation, clash etc). I’m one of those who genuinely liked the trailer, Ashutosh has covered almost every major evidence available after the excavations of MohenjoDaro, he had also consulted to archaeologists to create a make-a-believe world of MohenjoDaro, which is essential for any commercial movie. It’s album is getting positive response everywhere, except 4-5 Akshay fans.
I also wonder what ‘scale’ people were expecting in a movie which is set in 2000BC? Building the realistic sets was biggest challenge as whole sight of Mohenjodaro is destroyed, only excavated ruins of MohenjoDaro are available. He has done a commanding job with production design, showing Baahubali-esque sets and location would have been unrealistic. Some of the locations (like Bhedaghat) will look grand on big screen. I’m sure there will be more such scenes in movie. I believe in Ashutosh’s vision and storytelling, and Hrithik’s acting, I’m sure movie will shut down many (pseudo)critics. I wish it had a solo release, still no worries.
