It’s going to be one of the biggest box office clashes of all time as three films are now officially set to arrive during the Diwali weekend this year.
Golmaal 4 was the first film that was announced for Diwali, but soon after the announcement of Robot 2.0 there were reports that Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty had decided not to take on the Rajnikanth – Akshay Kumar film.
Post that, there was a major shuffle in release dates. Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha moved from June to the Independence Day weekend – which was already taken by Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled film directed by Imtiaz Ali.
After ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ was moved, Aamir Khan decided to postpone his production ‘Secret Superstar’ to the Diwali weekend – which set up a clash with the more commercial film ‘Robot 2.o’.
Now with ‘Golmaal Again’ also coming on Diwali, the stage is set for a big clash and there’s going to be a tough battle to get shows and screens – as both Robot 2.0 and Golmaal Again are commercial films with pan-India appeal.
Business of ‘Golmaal Again’ will be affected by ‘Robot 2.0’ in the south, while the Akshay Kumar factor could be negated to a certain extent by ‘Golmaal Again’ in the north and other parts of India.

GA will perform better than 2.0 in north… Coz Golmal franchise is very popular in India & has Ajay too… and 2.0 won’t be watched by more coz of South Indian film in spite of having Akki.

Without any promotion or buzz just today we are told GA is clashing now look at the votes almost at par with 2.0. Those shouting GA is not Ajay film I have too much sympathy for you. Ajay deserve so much credit because before GA all his movies have been crime thriller and action he did comedy and what a response he got from Audience Gopal the famous character. From G2 and G3 when the credits are been shown at trailer or movie after Ajay comes the Heroine before the 3rd main lead and Ajay entry has been superb is he splitting his two legs on 2 moving Aeroplanes for golmaal again? Only time will tell. GA all the way.
Golmaal makers’s logic is simple…we are releasing on a holiday period, we are the bigger film, we have a popular franchise, we are clashing against a sequel to a regional film which wasn’t successful as far as hindi market is concerned, the other film (Secret Superstar) is a relatively smaller film and Aamir is playing a supporting role like (Dear Zindagi) so its appeal should be limited, so Golmaal4 should come as the biggest grosser amongst the 3 films unless public appreciation turns different
Honestly speaking if a had to chose between the 3 i would have to opt for 2.0 first then watch SSS if reviews are good but b.o wise i know G4 will turn out the biggest grosser due to genre and family appeal

Get a life aside Ajay fans lots of people here still loves his movies and if you look at some biggest TRP Ajay movies comes 3rd after Salman and Aamir movies. Even Single Screens alone was responsible for critics bashed Shivaay earning around 100 crs. People like you unnecessarily try to bring Ajay down but his fans are hardly abusing Akshay maybe other fans are. Why not we join hands and support all the 2 big movies. Remember it was Rohit who announced GA diwali 1st people misunderstood him and Ajay’s silence as postponement. For ppl recalling Ghajini vs Jumbo clash, Jumbo wasn’t even a Akshay Kumar film at all. He just had a voice-over. If u say Aamir trashed Akki, now Half Girlfriend is going to earn much more than Hanuman Da Damdar. So according to you Arjun Kapoor is gonns crush Salman Khan?
