It’s going to be one of the biggest box office clashes of all time as three films are now officially set to arrive during the Diwali weekend this year.
Golmaal 4 was the first film that was announced for Diwali, but soon after the announcement of Robot 2.0 there were reports that Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty had decided not to take on the Rajnikanth – Akshay Kumar film.
Post that, there was a major shuffle in release dates. Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha moved from June to the Independence Day weekend – which was already taken by Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled film directed by Imtiaz Ali.
After ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ was moved, Aamir Khan decided to postpone his production ‘Secret Superstar’ to the Diwali weekend – which set up a clash with the more commercial film ‘Robot 2.o’.
Now with ‘Golmaal Again’ also coming on Diwali, the stage is set for a big clash and there’s going to be a tough battle to get shows and screens – as both Robot 2.0 and Golmaal Again are commercial films with pan-India appeal.
Business of ‘Golmaal Again’ will be affected by ‘Robot 2.0’ in the south, while the Akshay Kumar factor could be negated to a certain extent by ‘Golmaal Again’ in the north and other parts of India.

Fact is now Akshay Kumar presence in the North Gujurat and other Circuit Territories apart from South cannot have any effect any longer because of Golmaal Again. Sour Truth. Good be is doing movie with Megastar Rajnikant if not he dare can’t try his hand on Big budget movies even his franchises h3 he started with are poor or does not match up with the original movie like Ouatimd. Give him low budget franchise like Jolly llb and smaller budget he rocks with those.
If we look at the two big movies R2 and G4, then I think that R2 will suffer more, and the main reason for this, is that Akki is not playing a lead role in movie, more worst thing is he is playing a villain in movie, that too an UGLY VILLAIN, which will not be like by his fans, specially in Single Screen…..So in Single Screen G4 will take a lead…..Yes in Multiplexes R2 will be ahead of G4 (maybe because of content)……Another big reason is that R2 is huge budget movie (if we believe what we are hearing then it is 450cr) which is very difficult to even recover the cost with clash…..
So its better if the producers of both movie try to avert this clash, otherwise two big movies will loose huge amount of money…..
This is just my opinion as a neutral audience not against any movie, because I am going to watch both R2 and G4 this Diwali…….
No chance of breaking 133 cr record
I think it wil affect robot 2 mainly because it has 400 crores budget even if it collected 500 crores worldwide ut would not be a hit… due to super high costs.. and secret superstar will be the winner because of content and small budget. . I think golmaal 4 should move to a different date cause only robot 2 has the chance of becoming first movie to gross 1000 crores..

Secret Superstar will be a flop if good word of mouth then average but golmaal 4 is gonna be a 100 crore movie for sure and robot 2 would also collect around 50-60 crire if the film is like the first one and if the film turns out to be a great sci fi film with hollywood like special effects then it will collect maximum 100 crore.
