It’s going to be one of the biggest box office clashes of all time as three films are now officially set to arrive during the Diwali weekend this year.
Golmaal 4 was the first film that was announced for Diwali, but soon after the announcement of Robot 2.0 there were reports that Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty had decided not to take on the Rajnikanth – Akshay Kumar film.
Post that, there was a major shuffle in release dates. Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha moved from June to the Independence Day weekend – which was already taken by Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled film directed by Imtiaz Ali.
After ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ was moved, Aamir Khan decided to postpone his production ‘Secret Superstar’ to the Diwali weekend – which set up a clash with the more commercial film ‘Robot 2.o’.
Now with ‘Golmaal Again’ also coming on Diwali, the stage is set for a big clash and there’s going to be a tough battle to get shows and screens – as both Robot 2.0 and Golmaal Again are commercial films with pan-India appeal.
Business of ‘Golmaal Again’ will be affected by ‘Robot 2.0’ in the south, while the Akshay Kumar factor could be negated to a certain extent by ‘Golmaal Again’ in the north and other parts of India.

Golmaal Again and @.0 will eat into each other’s business. Secret Superstar is the dark horse and will be a sleeper blockbuster!
Golmal4 will not get a single screen from south for sure. But hopfully SS will get atleast limited screen because of the Quality khan. and in simple word it is only only only the mega ROBOT2.0 in 3dwali.
Ajay did not learn anything from last diwali clash.. Rohit Shetty’s formula of filmmaking has also become outdated.. Which is pretty much evident from his last two movies S Returns and Dilwale. Although both took bumper opening but could not sustain at all due to outdated genre. And this time Golmal 4 will never get a big opening as the business will b distributed between 3 movies. Looking at this point SS is at the safest position because of the low budget but ideally it should move to a different date because it will not find a single audience down south due to Rajni craze, it might not even get screens too which it deserves as it has amir’s name to it who has pan india presence. 2nd best will be 2.0. Because down south.. No need to mention. Rest of India, as Akshay is on superb form with back to back hits n superhits and the NATIONAL AWARD Victory.. Also if toilet turn out to be an aclaimed movie then 2.0 craze will be huge..

Just check the trailer of his last film “I “.. an 80cr film.. looks like a 200 cr film.. imagine rajni and akki in that trailer.. not even dhoom franchise can stand against it.. and this 2.0 is 5 times bigger than ” I ” .
2 cats against 1 T-Rex .. when they actually see the size of T-Rex .. cats will ran away..

It will look like a clash between dhoom 4 with Salman against a low budget mithun chakravarthi film and a low budget Neil nithin Mukesh film

Bas ROBOT2.0 ka trailer ka intazar kar raha hui. Bas ane do us trailer ko, After that moment other producers will scrap there movie for sure. the hugee 2.0 will be huge without any doubt.only only only waiting for the mega ROBOT2.0 in 3dwali.
If this really happens then the collections will be divided like this according to me:
1- Golmaal3 ………… 115cr (HIT)
2- 2.0 (hindi) ………… 95cr (SEMI-HIT)
3- S.S …………………… 84cr (SEMI-HIT)
N.B: This will be trade numbers not producers’s!
But if one decides to move to a diff. date it will be a diff. story!

@Deadpool seriously, Have you look the comments of Akshay fans on twitter/fb when SS announced on Diwali. They are calling Aamir with bad names of that clash. Really SS only has cameo and still you guys ass were burning. Some hutiyas were talking that we will repeat welcome vs Tzp. Do I show you the collection of Naam Shabana or Jumbo vs Ghajni clash when Akshay had voice over or cameo in those films. Regarding 2.0 for me its Rajni movie all the way. Even the headlines come as Rajni vs Aamir. Its only these Bollywood site who were saying Akshay vs Aamir. Give me q break. Regarding NA awards, justification of Priyadarshan are enough about the hutiyapa. Aamir may be intolerant but he is Indian unlike a Indian born Canadian Kumar doing lots of dramas. lol.

@hrithik these akki fans are not aware the epic disaster given by Akki when it clashed with record smasher Ghajini in 2008. While Ghajini first week collection were 64cr, Jumbo collected mere 1.65cr in that week. Lifetime was 2.5cr against Ghajini 115cr. But still we understand what is the scope of cameo/animation films but Canadian Jumbo Kumar fans not.
Neutral Hindi Film audiences mainly Family will surely opt for G4 now…no mattter how is the review cause comedy is guaranteed and Aam Admi just want fun in festivals!!
