It’s going to be one of the biggest box office clashes of all time as three films are now officially set to arrive during the Diwali weekend this year.
Golmaal 4 was the first film that was announced for Diwali, but soon after the announcement of Robot 2.0 there were reports that Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty had decided not to take on the Rajnikanth – Akshay Kumar film.
Post that, there was a major shuffle in release dates. Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha moved from June to the Independence Day weekend – which was already taken by Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled film directed by Imtiaz Ali.
After ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ was moved, Aamir Khan decided to postpone his production ‘Secret Superstar’ to the Diwali weekend – which set up a clash with the more commercial film ‘Robot 2.o’.
Now with ‘Golmaal Again’ also coming on Diwali, the stage is set for a big clash and there’s going to be a tough battle to get shows and screens – as both Robot 2.0 and Golmaal Again are commercial films with pan-India appeal.
Business of ‘Golmaal Again’ will be affected by ‘Robot 2.0’ in the south, while the Akshay Kumar factor could be negated to a certain extent by ‘Golmaal Again’ in the north and other parts of India.

1] Golmaal is one of the Popular family Franchise of this Decade + All HATERS put Together still its getting less votes than ROBOT 2.0 [that hardly any1 saw in North in 2010] speaks Volumes about the CRAZE of ROBOT 2.0….Answer is AKSHAY KUMAR….
2] For the 1st time a Poster Logo featured someone else other than a Rajnikant.LOGO Featured Akshay Kumar..POSTERS featured BOTH with Equal weightage and Footage and whole Poster Release event was centered more on Akshay Kumar than on RajniKant.Even the Audience and CRITICS are more excited about Poster Featuring AKKI than RajiniKant.
3] Robot 2.0 Poster Release itself made more noise than any Trailer Release ever.Makers Would come up with 2.0 Teaser in Few Weeks.If Poster can create this Effect what would be the effect of TEASER.People are Eagerly waiting for It.
3] GOLMAAL is a very Loved Franchise…All points to them but it is against a EVENT Science Fiction Film thats RARE and UNIQUE .People would love to watch Golmaal if its SOLO but if it Clashes with ROBOT 2.0 it would be tough for choice For Golmaal. 0-5% In South and 80% Multiplexes ALL INDIA would Prefer ROBOT 2.0 and Due to Akshay Kumar Presence…[DELHI UP +MUMBAI..EAST PUNJAB] would atleast give 50-50 SS to both..So If makers are happy with that its their call.
4] ROBOT 2.0 would by all means [90+ times] Surpass all Opening collections[India+WW] by Huge Margin ..Golmaal due to its Brand value would get a Decent Opening but would require few Open Days+Weeks for Family Audience to Get In where as ROBOT 2.0 is FDFS stuff .if well made would be ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER.Golmaal should look for another good date if it wants to save its BRAND Value.
5] AKSHAY KUMAR is having almost equal Role as RAJANI [40-60% Ratio to be least] or else Makers would not be launching it as a RAJNI VS AKSHAY Film.All films where Akki has limited role has never been Promoted as a Akki Starrer.Be it OMG/Naam Shabana..to count a few. Akki has builded himself and is Now the Most dependable/Most loved HERO when it comes to Plex Audience in the last few Years.AJAY is no where even close to him in Plexes[80-20%] .In SS Although if we take recent status Akki is ahead but [Ajay+Rohit Combo] i give it a 50-50 battle. Atleast 30% Audience would fell short to watch Golmaal Again cuz they would see atleast [5 Times] WW Opening Weekend Figures of ROBOT 2.0 as compared to Golmaal Again thinking it= has lost the Clash until and unless its a Class Movie but its after all a family Entertainer that works more cuz of WOM than Opening .
Just Wait for the ROBOT 2.0 Teaser to release and GOLMAAL Again makers would be forced to change their Decision. Rohit Shetty told in a Interview that he would never release a Film against Rajinikant but he has done it.I just Wish he gets the Exhibitors/Distributors report after the 2.0 Teaser release which is bound to be phenomenal taken the past Track Record of Shankar,Rajini and Akshay Kumar gets a Free Open Good Solo Date.

Regarding Jumbo there is no bigger actor than akki in that movie, he also charged 9cr for voice over and 2 promotional songs. When SS is termed as Aamir movie (not cameo) for you guys, then I am free to decide Jumbo an Akshay starrer and 2.0 Rajni starrer. Even Akshay fans openly praised the trailer never before seen action. Ajay announced it 1st then Kjo came in was it fair? I mean it was his 1st movie as a triple Avatar Director Producer Actor. Not for Adhm it would easily have crossed 160-170. No unity in Bollywood should not be coming from selfish peoples mouth. Why did you not stand against one of our own superstar using his sweat dedication ,had to reject Bajirao mastani just to fulfill his dream project but kjo came and ruined the movie collection by cheap acts. I know you hate Ajay but not all Ajay fans hate Akshay. Was he not one of the 1st to tweet on Rustm trailer? So why abusing him and being selfish. Accept it Akshay fans hate Ajay just for no reason and they are friend.
