11AM UPDATE: The evening and night shows at multiplexes seems to have more than made up for the drop at single screen business. 27 cr approx for Day 2, which is again EXTRAORDINARY for Pre-Eid release.
After all the euphoria and celebrations on Friday, KICK has sustained well at the box office on Saturday. The film has collected around 26-27cr, which is very good as it dropped by 20-30% in the morning shows yesterday.
Business picked up evening onwards and multiplexes in cities were up quite considerably for the night shows.
Kick has just about managed to cross the Rs 50 crore mark in 2 days and should collect 28-30 cr on Sunday to take its all India first weekend total to 80 cr.
The two day business is better than Ek Tha Tiger (47 cr) which released on a national holiday but had a huge drop of nearly 60% on its second day. However, the collections are much lower than Chennai Express and Dhoom 3.

Very good collection but I dont y some people r using rainy season in mumbai which hampered in collection. I m in mumbai but there is no rain people here r crying for rain. Last year in aug there was heavy rain. But I this will do good. First 2 days r good.
@Zeeshan kick is already a success and indicine is right in trying to claim it a success bcoz more than 50 crores collections in 2 days for a Pre Eid release movie is big achievement.Eid is yet to come now and collections will again rise today and on Eid and if this is not success for you then Ra1,Don 2,JTHJ etc r flop movies according to your logic.lol

Anyway I just said KICK reminded me of you guys love n war situation n really I dont care how your story ends up…! Excellent..now 85 crore weekend looks possible..weekdays hold the key now..it should cross chennai express as far as first week business is concerned..as of dhoom 3, I had already said it would be out of reach but it should aim for beating chennai express in lifetime total also apart from first week

I dont want to follow any particular figures bcoz it really doesnt matter as records today will not last for too long like in 2013 when 3 films in space of 5 months took turns in being the record holder….! I just hope the days when a 3 idiots or Gadar came n broke records by huge margins n held on for yrs are not over as its nice to cherish such films for long long periods of time. This yr if 3 films have strong content n excellent repeat value then Kick, Bang Bang and PK could surpass Dhoom 3 but maybe they will fall short but in all likeliness they will be just leaseholders of the Highest Grossing Movie Ever title as we are still waiting for our next Gadar or HAHK type film to come and really set an unprecedented unattainable threshold…! Good luck to Kick and next attempt will be by Bang Bang, then Sarkars 11 Jokers and finally the Dynamic Duo of Raju Sir and Aamir will have a try…!

i dont know the reason why pre eid nd pre diwali period is overrated on this level..

india’s highesr grossing movie dhoom 3 made almost 280 cr in india..
now if have a normal ticket price of 100 rs per ticket(average price for assumption) than with this logic – dhoom 3 was seen by 2.8 cr people in india in theatres…now look at the reach of cinema..
out of 125+ cr population only 3 cr at maximum are watching in theatre..that means only 2.5% people of total population are useful population for cinema..
now as we all know in india there are almost 17-18 cr muslim audience..
thus they form 14.4% of total population of india..thus with this logic if we assume that not a single muslim person will watch during pre eid than out of 3 cr cine goars only 42 lakh people will not see the film nd that too in the pre eid period. .
compared to those 42 lakh people;; there are still more 2.58 cr people left who are not muslim..
than actually the effect of lack of muslim audience is recovered even in the pre eid period..
so i dont find any logic behind this pre eid logic..ya pre diwali can affect as large section of hindu audience stay away from theatres nd they also form 81% of total population so it can be understood..
but pre eid is not a fruitful logic..

guys i think this is not a sequel like d3 and ce released on festive holiday and saturday had a festive flavour and sunday was again a big holiday.kick is a normal 3 day weekend release and the world knows a movie cant break records as high as d3 or ce without holiday weekend.that has been the biggest drawback for kick.if it does 85 cr weekend i think it has done well for its type of release.a festive holiday weekend could have made it touch 100 may be.as far as large no of screens are concerned 3500-3600 screen are enough to do great business..after that no matter how much u increase them there is a saturation point and limit for business. yes may be presently the 85cr likely weekend could have been 90 if it was not a ramazan release but not more than that.
so i think a week of 155 cr will be awesome given the scenarios in which it released.anything below 150 should be a disappointment…

53 cr in 2 days… Superb as these are just bonus days for the movie and the real collections will start from today..Sunday to Wednesday are going to be huge as there are 3 holidays and then the 2nd weekend arrives in which the film has no competition and will retain around 3000+ screens so even if it collects in 10-15 cr range in the 2nd week, it’s going to hit 250 cr mark easily within 2nd week.
