Salman Khan’s Kick has done outstandingly well on Day 1 at the domestic box office, with net box office collections of Rs 26.19 crore.
The film hasn’t done well in parts of the Mumbai circuit, but Rajasthan and East Punjab were record-breaking considering non-holiday and Ramadan period release. Both Mysore and West Bengal were way better than Salman’s last release Jai Ho, but much lower than Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express.
The early expectations on Friday were for the first business to exceed 30 crore, but the film slowed down in a few circuits evening onwards.
Still, the Day 1 collections of KICK is comparable to films like Chennai Express and Dhoom 3, simply because of the fact that it has managed to put up collections of 26 cr+ on a non-holiday during Ramadan.
Also, a big superstar film, that opens on a holiday, tends to collect about 50-55% more than a non-holiday release. For example, Ek Tha Tiger released on a holiday and collected Rs 32.92 cr, whereas Dabangg 2 released on a working day only to collect Rs 21 cr.
In comparison, Jai Ho also released on a working day and collected Rs 17.38 crore on its first day. Kick has collected 51% more than Jai Ho, which is terrific.

Only second week trend of film will show whether it can beat ce and d3.i think it will collect 80 to 82 crore on 1st weekend.will collect 45 t0 50 crore on 1st 2 days of eid and will have 150 crore 1st week.
So according to my prediction lifetime will be 180 cr max

ha ha,kick will be a huge flop or hardly semi hit like jai ho but CE was an ATBB. this all things depend upon stardom lallu has not that much star power like KING KHAN..as lallu hugged again with KING KHAN for which reason it able to surpass otherwise it would be like another big flop like jai ho,lol.

people must have given the non holiday excuse but they dont have rights to tell against Muslims .
to use name of Ramadan period for movies under performance its not good . it makes god who is indirectly responsible for this crap ……

@megha : Nowadays all Tom, Dick & Harry like you think themselves to be expert. How can you predict the outcome of a movie like Kick within 3 days which are not holidays like Eid or Christmas + Monsoon rains in Mumbai + Ramzaan ??
@sss, salman’s non holyday release Ready collected 123 nd bcm blockbuster on the otherhand ur king’s non holyday release Yeh lamhe gam ke collected epic 31 LAKH nd bcm all time mega disaster…. So who has more star power Salman or Srk?
@mega pirate advocator megha -why dont you zip it as you deserve no right to make a comment when millions of people have paid to watch the film and majority of them experienced a KICK atleast once when watching the film…! You picking holes out of the movie when you should be more concerned about where your hubby goes out to at nights- I bet he visits theatres behind your back and gets his KICK out of watching movies on the Big Silver Screen as opposed to watching rubbish on your pc monitor with your ranting every 30 secs when some member of the audience suddenly stands up disrupting your viewing….!

i am from nepal and big fan of salman khan .movie is doing great bussiness in nepal and hope it will do better later on.movie is mindblowing .it is far better than ce and dhoom 3.so guys plz watch once…………..
