Salman Khan’s Kick has done outstandingly well on Day 1 at the domestic box office, with net box office collections of Rs 26.19 crore.
The film hasn’t done well in parts of the Mumbai circuit, but Rajasthan and East Punjab were record-breaking considering non-holiday and Ramadan period release. Both Mysore and West Bengal were way better than Salman’s last release Jai Ho, but much lower than Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express.
The early expectations on Friday were for the first business to exceed 30 crore, but the film slowed down in a few circuits evening onwards.
Still, the Day 1 collections of KICK is comparable to films like Chennai Express and Dhoom 3, simply because of the fact that it has managed to put up collections of 26 cr+ on a non-holiday during Ramadan.
Also, a big superstar film, that opens on a holiday, tends to collect about 50-55% more than a non-holiday release. For example, Ek Tha Tiger released on a holiday and collected Rs 32.92 cr, whereas Dabangg 2 released on a working day only to collect Rs 21 cr.
In comparison, Jai Ho also released on a working day and collected Rs 17.38 crore on its first day. Kick has collected 51% more than Jai Ho, which is terrific.

I have seen the film and my review is on kick’s first day early estimate post. The first day collection is 4th highest of all time. Considering the pre eid and working day 26cr is outstanding figure. Weekend will be around 85cr as Sunday will cross 30cr mark or even 35 cr, first week will end at 160-170cr so Its sure kick will be all time 2nd highest grosser by beating CE,it may be highest grosser domestic but there are less chance for this. Now haters will say that As D3 collected 31.9cr hindi and Ce 30.5 than kick underperform as they not understand that CE had holiday release and D3 has huge buzz and done exceptional collection on non holiday due to Huge recall value and Aamir khan. Lol and kick released on 5000 screens so additional 800 screens are held in specially on 3.7 billion fans imaginary planet. At least don’t make you mockery of yourself. ETT 3300 screens 30.52 cr on holiday, our king ce collected 29.2cr on same holiday with 25%hike of prices on 3600 screens. Leave the imaginary planet and come to earth and see reality upcoming Raees & fan romance. Lol.

@rom nw yr, Kick releases on 4000screens in india not 5000screens. Also 5year ago dabang released on 1700screen nd collected 145cr. One yr later ratoo point one nd dong 2 released on 2700screen nd collected just 113cr nd 106cr even with 1000 more screen than dabang.
