Happy New Year has recorded the 5th highest Monday collections of all time and the 2nd highest non-holiday Monday of all time. In the all-time list, Krrish 3 still stands tall with first Monday collections of Rs 35.91 crore – this was the same day (a day after Diwali holiday) that Happy New Year collected Rs 44.97 crore.
The first Monday business of Dhoom 3 will be the record to beat though – because even the opening day collections of non-holiday releases is less than the first weekday (4th day) of Dhoom 3. Staggering record. It will take something extraordinary to beat this record set by Aamir Khan last year. PK maybe, if it’s as good as 3 Idiots?

If film reachs 160 cr in week one then it has chances to crossing 200 cr marks.
Happy New Year grossed around 12.25 crore nett on
Monday which is a big drop from its first day which was
a huge national holiday but around 55% from Saturday
nd Sunday which were normal days. The film saw a big
drop in the metros and circuits like East Punjab.
The total after four days is around 109 crore nett and the
film should gross around 135 crore nett for the week
going by its Monday figure but it could be a bit lower as
Gujarat could come down on Wednesday when the
holidays stop in the circuit.
The Monday figure is pretty good as a number but if we take into
account that Gujarat is holiday and without that it would have been
11 crore nett or less then the trend is not strong. The film will not
become a major blockbuster like a Kick or Chennai Express but
won’t be a Bang bang or Jai Ho as well because the huge weekend
has ensured the film will be on the plus side..

HNY is just another bad movie with bad story, script and screenplay and direction as JAI HO, KICK, SINGHAM RETURNS, CHENNAI EXPRESS, KRRISH 3, DHOOM-3, ETT etc etc.
Why blame SRK alone. When he made MNIK nobody want to see it. called it outdated.
Atleast HNY is silly, crazy entertaining & gets boring for no more than 10 mins. It moves at breakneck pace with garbage jokes and it goes after entertaining than logic.
now compare this to absolute bores like DHOOM 3, CE, ETT, JAI HO, KICK, KRRISH-3.
HNY still is entertaining flick with tons of Masala.

hny is good movie i like this movie this movie making for full to full family movie rahi baat collection ki to does not matter ki ye record banyegi ya nhi but enjoyment to dey rhi hai. Rahi kick ki record ki to nhi tod payegi . jab 2 movie mila kay yani bb nd haider nay kick ka record nhi tod payi to hny kay liye to kafhi muskil hai …bb+ haider total screen 4300+1200= 5500 total collection 2no kay mila kay 230 kay ass pass…! Kick ka record todana mushkil hai..but enjoy this movie ..!
Best film was kick salman was perfect choise and another film is Pk its only amir khan that will make record in end of the year.
HNY can’t beat the collection of KICK.
