Happy New Year has recorded the 5th highest Monday collections of all time and the 2nd highest non-holiday Monday of all time. In the all-time list, Krrish 3 still stands tall with first Monday collections of Rs 35.91 crore – this was the same day (a day after Diwali holiday) that Happy New Year collected Rs 44.97 crore.
The first Monday business of Dhoom 3 will be the record to beat though – because even the opening day collections of non-holiday releases is less than the first weekday (4th day) of Dhoom 3. Staggering record. It will take something extraordinary to beat this record set by Aamir Khan last year. PK maybe, if it’s as good as 3 Idiots?

If diwali fell on Thursday last year than Krrish 3 would have done 40-45 Crores easily on its first day…
Bang Bang had less screen count n price n HNY didn’t have any holiday… Both had a disadvantage copared to other. Still Bang Bang beats HNY…

I guess, releasing HNY day after dewali hasn’t proved to be good. With average content and 3 hours long, it should have been released on 22 oct. Releasing it on 24 oct costed a big holiday. CE had that holiday on first Thursday (15 august).

HNY is one of the worst movies of SRK. Anyone who is really a well wisher of him den he should not deny this truth. We expect films like kal ho na ho, Ddlj,k2h2 , chak de etc etc which are critically acclaimed as well as commercially hit. Now a days KING KHAN is only focusing on 2nd perspective. He should focus on better scripts rather den his promotional strategies.
