Happy New Year has collected Rs 78 crore in its first 2 days at the box office, which is by far the biggest total for any film ever released. Shahrukh Khan now has two films in the Top 5, as his last release Chennai Express also averaged more than 30 crore in 2 days.
Dhoom 3’s record looked out of reach when it went on a record-breaking spree last year, but Happy New Year has comprehensively beaten the film in its first 2 days.
On Sunday, business of Happy New Year has picked up all over giving the film a good chance of not only crossing the 100 crore mark in 3 days, but also to challenge the lifetime business of Dhoom 3. For that, the SRK starrer has to sustain well Monday onwards.
Kick, Singham Returns and Bang Bang collected Rs 53.67 cr, Rs 53.14 cr and Rs 51.62 cr respectively.

Before first day collection every site gave report that occupancy is huge and it can easily cross 40 crore marks and even BOI also gave same report that it look like a new record over 40 crore and even when collection came out every site said that its 44.97 crore including all version and BOI also gave 40 crore collection as we all know BOI only gives Hindi version collection means difference between collection of Hindi version of BOI and others sites were only 2.6 crore which was normal and on next day BOI gave report before 2nd day collection that HNY goes again going huge 2nd day huge means??? Without any doubt HNY has broken opening day record of Dhoom 3 but it has failed to break Day 2 record of Dhoom 3 anybody accepts it or not.

Lol,poor producer since morning to evening their think tank were busy and recounting collection multiple times, kahin kam to nahi gin rahe.Than they stick to a strategy that 33 cr is decent collection after too much manipulated 45cr,never the less being a trade follower I believe d3 2 days 62.5 cr hindi while hny 68 cr with one full fledged holiday and 1 semi holiday even we count regional than d3 close to 67 and hny 72cr max.
So even though hny may have 115 cr producer figure or 105 cr trade figure all version instead of d3 95.61cr Hindi+6.5cr regional=102cr.even a kid can answer who is actual winner even producer figure difference is just 7 cr.Ghanta king.
