Happy New Year is steady on the lower side at the box office in its third weekend. The film has collected around 1.5 crore on its 3rd Friday even though it lost several shows and screens to this week’s release ‘The Shaukeens’.
Depending on the growth in business over the next two days, the Shahrukh Khan starrer might cross the 200 crore mark. It should go on to beat the lifetime business of films like Ek Tha Tiger (199.6 cr) and 3 Idiots (202.3 cr). The film will finish as the 4th highest grosser of all time behind Dhoom 3, Krrish 3, Kick and Chennai Express.
The Hindi version of the film has collected Rs 188.84 crore, while the regional (Tamil and Telugu) versions have contributed around 6.1 crore to the total.

If Hny could not surpass kick, then sallu is the real king of bollywood. Reasons:
1. Kick is one man show movie. not a multistarer all actors are new comers not well known
2. with three month extensive promotions of Hny trailer in whatsup , and others reaching maximum indian viewers
3. Hny was released on diwali biggest holiday and thereby biggest weekend holiday, and also benefited by many holidays on weekdays in different parts of state on different days.
4. Farah khan an experience director and kick was first dictatorial film by the director
5. Extensive promotions on z tv with dance competition in which all actors of HNY participated throughout the show.
6. Kick had big competition on week two with akshay the entertaiment which started to loose screen counts drastically with other releases following on.
7. With charming deepika who is top in list, and jaqaline in kick
so conclusion: NO actor have that powerful star power than salman khan hence he is the real king of bollywood

Happy New Year has grossed around 173 crore nett in seventeen days as it grossed around 4.50 crore nett over its third weekend. The film again collected very well on Saturday and Sunday at multiplexes all over.
The business of the films stands at eighth place on the all time list and should finish in sixth places as it is likely to cross Krrish 3 (175 crore nett) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (178 crore nett). The fifth placed film is Ek Tha Tiger at 186 crore nett but Happy New Year will stay below that figure.

Indicine has inflated HNY by some 23 Crores the film after third weekend now stands at 173 crores approx. it will not surpass any of the other films, and its sad that we cannot have the truth on these site and these false figures should never be posted as it mislead the public just because one wants to keep up the appearance of someone. Have you ever heard the saying that its the truth that sets men free. I am a die hard Salman Khan fan, but I like actors like Akshay, Aamir, who does not hold money up as their God.
