Entertainment has picked up at select multiplexes on Saturday, but other centres where it opened well on Friday were down slightly. The second day business is likely to be up by around 2-3% which isn’t good enough for the film to recover costs.
Like we mentioned in our box office prediction, Entertainment needed to collect atleast 13-14 cr on Friday and then show decent growth in business on Saturday if it had to have any chance of recovering costs – as Singham Returns releases this week and it would get the widest release for any film this year apart from Kick.
If Entertainment does well in Week 1, it would get more shows at multiplexes when ‘Singham Returns’ releases, giving it a decent chance of recovering its high costs. Unfortunately, the opening numbers are pretty poor and the first weekend business is likely to be around the 35 crore net.
Kick is still doing pretty well at the box office in its third weekend and has collected around 3 – 3.25 crore on its third Saturday (early estimate). The film has now crossed the 220 crore mark. The all india business should be about 225 crore on Sunday, a couple of crores short of the lifetime business of Chennai Express.

it was very good comedy film dont know what the makers thought releasing this movie between kick and singham returns. though I thought kick was not a problem for entertainment as it was already in its third week but main problem was singham returns which was one of the most highly awaited sequel.

Hollywood gets inspired by Bollywood!
After Rakesh Roshans Filmkraft increased collections of his own son’s film by 60 crores, trying to prove him superior than Ranbir Kapoor, a hollywood studio has allegedly followed suit.
Paramount pictures, increased their box office weekend collections of Transformers 4, trying to cross 100 million weekend. The difference was just $2-3 million more than the trade analysts, still fungers were pointed.
While in bollywood the difference was more than Rs 600 million and still some people trying to support the fake 244 crore figure.

@Zings, do not show your frustrations here. Who force you to go watch and Khan movies? There are many Khans that have gone down the drain as actors without making any impacts. E.g Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Sohail Khan, Faisal Khan, Ayub Khan etc. Your comment may create unnecessary problems.

Entertainment is turned out a good film which eventually looking crap when the trailer released. But public response and critics(talking about those which understand the public taste) given thumbs up to film. Though due to high cost and Singham arrival in next week will dent it bo performance. If SR turned out (bad film which is highly impossible) than entertainment could be turned out a flop or below avg due to high budget. So far film has collected 19.5-20 cr in 2 days and weekend will be around 33-35cr max. But if film is good than it shouldn’t be a losing affairs. Finger crossed.
Normally films drop on saturday but Entertainment’s fig has increased for saturday, WOM is awesome and its the real clean family entertainer. haters will bark as always. khans need 2-3 open weeks and national holidays like eid,diwali,christmas for their films to be hit but akshay alone is enough, he takes risks.
Expecting a 50% growth from friday to sunday. Otherwise it would be hard for entertainment to cross 60 cr. mark. Next week, Ringham returans opening with around 3500 screen, so not much screen will left for entertainment. After a decent holiday, its a low blow for akshay kumar. Anyhow, Akshay’s next The shaukeens is coming on 7th nov. with Action jackson which is looking like a sure shot disaster.

I saw the teaser/trailer first time and said why not this movie releasing instead of Holiday, and finally now it is sandwiched between kick n singham, with no single holiday.
Really sorry to say that, bcuz I just saw the movie yesterday to a packed muliplex that were laughing from start to end

if not for Ekta’s mom getting hyper, OUATIMD wd have released on Eid last year. Akshay knew it, and even tho the movie was avg, it wd have had decent collections on Eid holidays.
People just want to play safe.

Regular movie goers dont care whose movie, as, if they like something, they will not bother for fav stars etc, but accept it with both arms. I hope these stars stop playing safe and compete headon.

While Shah Rukh Khan will be seen as a gangster & Farhan Akhtar as cop, a south Indian star actor will join Rahul Dholakia’s Raees cast to play a politician .
Raees has been in news since a long time as the film marks the return of King Khan in a negative role. There have been various rumor’s regarding the cast and crew of Raees. However, the director of the film Rahul Dholakia confirmed the cast of the film to a leading daily by saying-
“SRK film (Raees) finally happening. It also features Farhan Akthar. Also features a southern actor.”
When the director was asked if the film will belong to a genre similar to Don Series or will it be an entertainer, he reacted by saying-
” Raees won’t be an intellectual discussion on the subject but will be very entertaining.”
The director has plans to show the entire nexus of Illegal Liquor business in Gujarat.
Raees is based on real life incident’s which happened in the dry state of Gujarat in the last two decades. The story of the film will revolve around the lives of real life Gangsters, Bureaucrats, Politicians and Cops.
The movie is slated to go on floors in November this year and is looking at 2015 release.

wrong release date have really ruined its collection.I ve seen today in gurgaon multiplex and it was full with 80% families. family audiences r loving it and hopefully they will move the collections forward from here on.Sunday luking to be around 14 cr and lifetime will be 75 cr which is not bad for a movie sandwitched between 2 big movies.
There is nothing communal about my comments. If there names ended with Kumars I would have stated the same. It just happens that 3 actors who have dominated last 20 years there name ended with Khans. It is possible that Dilip Kumar Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand used such tactics for there dominance in the 50s but I was not around then.

If bang bang touch 200cr then krrish3 collection controversy will end in a minute.Many khan fans thought hr is younger in age and carrer then khans so he cannot collect more then khans in box office,they should remember that hr is bigger star then his age factor and only he can do unbelivable act in movie which is not expected from khans.I personally believe krrish 3 collect 244cr and ahead of salman and srk movies.
