Don 2 has opened to a good response on Friday with all India collections of around Rs 14.5 crores (including Telugu, Tamil versions).
Released on 3100 screens in India out of which 450 screens were in 3D, the Shahrukh Khan – Priyanka Chopra starrer has done exceedingly well at multiplexes in big cities. In Mysore, after a 35% opening on Friday, business picked up to 80% for the evening and night shows.
Farhan Akhtar films have never held mass-appeal. All of his films including Don 2, have failed to attract people in big numbers. In Don 2’s case, the lack of a hit music track being the biggest deterrent.
14.5 crores is a good numbers, considering the fact that Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara opened to about half the collections and yet managed to amass Rs 90 crores by the end of it’s run at the box-office. The word-of-mouth is good in metros, and we expect the film to trend similar to ZNMD.
The Dabangg 3-day weekend record is likely to stay intact as Don 2 needs 35 crores in the next two days to equal the Salman Khan film that released during EID in 2010.
I agree Indicine Don-2 will surely beat Ra.One and also AGNEEPATH is looking too good some trade analysts also sayin that it can be biggest hit of 2012(have to wait for Ek Tha Tiger & SRK KAT starrer) also it have popular tracks like Chikni Chameli.Coming to DON-2,I feel that it cannot beat Dabangg,Bodyguard domestic record because its not popular like those movies and also hit tracks to bring people in single screens.
Don2 music is not good all songs are bored.and the Don2 movie lifetime collection is 118 to 120cr.and weakend is 38 to 40 crore i’m sure about this.

Guys …great naws …Don 2 has a huge jump on its second day(saturday)….the morning shows and noon shows responced awsome…till now for day 2 ..Don 2 has managed to collecet 16 crore atleast, and thats only in hindy verson…..
srk is the real don.aur salman srk ke samne abhi bacha hai.
Indicine…my requiest to you,.please dont give final prediction about DON 2 ……You dont know what may happen…remember what happend with Ra.one…After 15 crore collection of first day , it jumped hugely on second day collecting 25 crore all over the INDIA.. but after the weakend it droped….Don 2 is much stronger than Ra.one…at least it will manage to run much longer than ra.one and hope it will not have a huge crase like ra.one and bodyguard……if it works, then there is a possibility of don 2 to break the record of bodyguard…..

Don 2 has had a very good first day of around 13.50 crore nett in Hindi with another 60-70 lakhs coming from the dubbed versions as per early estimates….
Please kindly don’t support SRK fans and his movies.. look at the facts.
Akram, Hindi version did 13.5 crores and from the official numbers that we got, other versions have done close to 1 crore. So total 14.5 crores :) Not much difference between our numbers and BOI, hardly 30 lakhs. :)
