We have now updated the article below with the most awaited Bollywood movies of 2012. We have also attached a table with the entire list of releases in 2012. There are several exciting Hindi movies lined up for release next year, here is a list of 10 such most-awaited movies in 2012

• Number 10 – Heroine – Until now, Heroine has been in news for all the wrong reasons. Madhur Bhandarkhar first approached Kareena Kapoor, who rejected it as she wanted some changes in the script. Madhur then signed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who even shot for a few scenes. Barely a few days later, when it was announced that Aishwarya is pregnant, the future of Madhur’s dream-project was uncertain once again. He ditched Ash, approached Kareena again and made the necessary changes to the script. All is well that end well – Kareena is currently shooting for Heroine and the film is expected to release before the end of 2012.
• Number 9 – Joker – Directed by Shirish Kunder (Jaan-e-mann), Joker is India’s first big-budget film to be shot using a real 3D camera. Akshay Kumar is the protagonist with Sonakshi Sinha playing his love interest. Not much is known about Joker at this stage.
• Number 8 – Rowdy Rathore – Prabhu Deva, the director of Salman Khan’s Wanted, returns with Rowdy Rathore. Again, the film stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. With action masala films being the flavor of the season, it will be interesting to watch Akshay return to what he does best – action!
• Number 7 – Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2 – The sequel to one of the best movies of 2010, several changes have been made to OUATIM  2. None of the main actors will be a part of the sequel to be once again directed by Milan Luthria. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Dawood Ibrahim (played by Emraan Hashmi in the prequel) and Sonakshi Sinha will be his love interest. Illeana D’Cruz from down south is also a part of the film. Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2 Release Date: August 17th 2012.
• Number 6 – Tezz – Over the last couple of years, Ajay Devgan has established himself as one of the most bankable stars in the country. Films like Singham and the Golmaal series has only increased his popularity with the masses.
• Number 5 – Talaash – An Aamir Khan film! Do we need any other reason to watch a film? Every film that Aamir does is special and Talaash directed by Reema Tyagi will be his first after the humongous success of 3 Idiots (Dhobi Ghat was an experimental art film). For company Aamir has two of the most talented leading ladies in Bollywood – Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherji. The Act of Murder Release Date: June 1st 2012.
• Number 4 – Agneepath – Hrithik Roshan’s only release for 2012 is the remake of one of Amitabh Bachchan’s most iconic films Agneepath (1990). Bachchan’s performance as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan won him a National Award. With the remake, the character of Vijay has been changed completely. The theatrical trailer and Chikni Chameli has only added to the hype. Agneepath Release Date: January 26 2012.
• Number 3 – Ek Tha Tiger – Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif return with a Yashraj Film directed by Kabir Khan (New York, Kabul Express). Little is known about the film apart from the fact that it’ll be a romantic thriller. And yes, the release date too – August 17 2012
• Number 2 – Dabangg 2 – The sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Dabangg has been confirmed for release during Christmas 2012. The only reason this comes down at number 2 is because it’s Arbaaz Khan’s debut as a director. It will be quite a challenge for him to better, 2010’s most loved film. Dabangg 2 Release Date: December 21 2012.
• Number 1 – An Yash Chopra movie after 8 years starring the King of Romance – SRK,  the most popular actress in our industry today Katrina Kaif and teen-sensation Anushka Sharma. The music is composed by Oscar winning music composer AR Rahman and the lyrics will be penned by another Academy award winner Gulzar. If this isn’t the biggest movie of the year, then what is?
