Dilwale has collected Rs 141.58 crore in India and around Rs 150 crore from the overseas markets in 17 days after its release. The worldwide gross collections of the film is Rs 341 crore.
Like we have mentioned in some of our previous reports, Dilwale is a hugely profitable film for Shah Rukh Khan. But individual distributors have lost a huge chunk of their investment in several circuits in India, and a loss-making film in major circuits for the local distributors cannot be declared as a ‘clean-HIT’.
Dilwale is ‘All Time Blockbuster’ in the overseas markets and an ‘Average’ grosser in India. Overall verdict of Dilwale is a ‘Semi Hit’.

Ram Lal gave it an excuse for miserable performance of DW. (Nobody asked Ram Lal to give a statement on intolerance.)
Meanwhile, Salman didnt give an excuse that Jai Ho under-performed due to Modi issue.

If DW faced clash (nobody asked Ram Lal to think of himself as the king of clash and to deliberately clash with a film announced earlier to release on a particular date), Jai Ho was non-festive release. Meanwhile DW was a Xmas release.
But Salman didnt give non-festive release as an excuse for under-performance for Jai Ho.

Be honest and do not feel shy to accept the truth. i must confess i am very disappointment regarding dilwale domestic collection but i confess instead of barking like you. Got shock to saw the dilwale response in india but let me smiled by overseas collection. This is the cycle of life and i respect it..
So @ indicine site the criteria for boxoffice verdict is keep on changing as per their wish.. they are very concerned about distributors when an srk film releases..
But they are always in hurry to declare kick as a bb even though for distributors kick was not a profitable film.. they were always in hurry to declare prdp as superhit without speaking about the distributor’s recovery.. the distributors of an atbb movie ghajini were in huge loss but they were in hurry to declare it atbb.. that time they were not concerned about distributors at all..
Prdp budget was 150 crs but with a share af around 110 crs it declared as superhit.. what a logic sir..

If there was not any controversy around dilwale release then srk haters never show their ugly faces. Many people going to theater to watch BM just to prove srk’s comment was true. One of my friend’s friend never watch a movie at theater. Always waiting for piracy or television. Even watched 3idiots in piracy copy. But, this time he was going to watch BM and he didn’t like it because he like masala genre , In fact, BM earn more than expected just because of some morons hate srk and spreading negativity about dilwale. BM didn’t earn that much amount if solo released. trust me.
@ ginger- when did i said Salman alone can make a film blockbuster but yes he able to atract audience even with weak team. jai ho 26 january was on sunday then 0 holiday except sundays did 116 approx but i cuted dilwale’s christmas benefite with clash. now it is between team dilwale vs jai ho. what is atp of dilwale and jai ho so what jai ho collected is almost equals to dilwale if we apply same atp for both movies. it is clear what superatar power salman has and what ordinary star power srk has.
