Dilwale has collected Rs 141.58 crore in India and around Rs 150 crore from the overseas markets in 17 days after its release. The worldwide gross collections of the film is Rs 341 crore.
Like we have mentioned in some of our previous reports, Dilwale is a hugely profitable film for Shah Rukh Khan. But individual distributors have lost a huge chunk of their investment in several circuits in India, and a loss-making film in major circuits for the local distributors cannot be declared as a ‘clean-HIT’.
Dilwale is ‘All Time Blockbuster’ in the overseas markets and an ‘Average’ grosser in India. Overall verdict of Dilwale is a ‘Semi Hit’.

Acc. to your Dilwale prediction if it collects 150 cr. its verdict would be Average/Hit.
Keeping in mind that it’s overseas business is ATBB, there is no reason why Dilwale cannot be declared a Hit acc as mentioned by you earlier.

In your prediction article, you said if Dilwale collects 150 CR , it will be declared as above average/clean hit and then you left a note saying “verdict will also depend on overseas collections”. I’m daam sure you left that note considering SRK’s dominance in overseas. Now, since Dilwale is a ATBB in overseas plus it will most likely collect 150 CR + in Indian market, why are you not declaring it a HIT?

Let’s see how much srk film collected without ‘k’ and will those cross Mnik/dilwale figure.
Regarding Kajol working with Aamir, why not with Kajol Aamir got his highest grosser in overseas with “Fanaa” 7 million $, at Time when highest grosser of all time was k3g with 8.7 million$.
Basically it adds for everyone. Christmas worked for Aamir in same way, Karan-Kajol works for srk in same way. Sooraj R Bafjatya and Kabir khan works for Salman in same way.
More recent example Ranveer-Deepika lair worked for Ranveer in same way.
Though without Christmas Aamir is also very successful but Christmas puts him miles ahead, Srk is ahead in overseas but bonding with Karan & Kajol works wonders for him in overseas market and helps him to set benchmarks. This is called lucky charm.

In 1999, he had 4 movies in Top 6 movies of the year including HGOTY HSSH. Wanna know more ?
