Dilwale has collected Rs 141.58 crore in India and around Rs 150 crore from the overseas markets in 17 days after its release. The worldwide gross collections of the film is Rs 341 crore.
Like we have mentioned in some of our previous reports, Dilwale is a hugely profitable film for Shah Rukh Khan. But individual distributors have lost a huge chunk of their investment in several circuits in India, and a loss-making film in major circuits for the local distributors cannot be declared as a ‘clean-HIT’.
Dilwale is ‘All Time Blockbuster’ in the overseas markets and an ‘Average’ grosser in India. Overall verdict of Dilwale is a ‘Semi Hit’.

If you dont believe in RC figures then go and check BOI figures which you salman fans always consult for srk movies and return back to producer at the time of salman movies.Go and check overseas figures by BOI also.And there isnt any need to doubt on these figures because I know its craze here in Pakistan where it is 2nd to Dhoom 3 only now.May be cross it too.So if craze DIlwale in Pakistan can be great then why not in other markets.
srk’s last normal day release movie -my name is khan total collection 205 cr… or wo bhi 2010 m or screens bhi 2400 total domestic and overseas…

now how these individual distributor come in between to decide the verdict? so far we heard about only one distributor so talk about it only, also why the formula of deciding the verdict of both movies is different? anyway im still happy with the collection of dilwale considering all other odds which are against it.

seweatheart- boi don’t have any source in each and every country to track data in overseas so their data also come from rentark or producer figure. that’s why i don’t beleive neither in hny’s tamil collection nor dilwale’s overseas collection. indicine itself cleard once rentark is most reliable source in overseas so if this overseas collection isn’t from rentark how can we beleive on srk who is biggest manipulator and cheater of all times.

You keep saying distributers have lost money, which distributers have lost money..? Which distributers have made money? How much were the losses and how much were the gains of each distributer? In the areas where the distributers lost money, were those the same areas that the movie was tremendously affected by protests and show cancellations..? If so, how can the product, in this case the movie Dilwale, be blamed for something outside its control?
@indicine ok agree with you that bm makes profit but im asking about dilwales individual distributors invesment and their earning. according to me all the individual distributors are well aware abt all the factors about clash and most importantly the number of screen they are going to distribute dilwale as screens get divided so their investment will be less as compared to other big movies like bajrangi/pk also they are well aware that in any case their movie will not earn all time higher or another highest grosser like bb or pk in their territory becoz of lesser screens and clash. so overall my point is as investment of local distributor is lower then they definitely cant loose as it grossed 142cr net.

@hrithik kyon ab jallan ho raju hai? Then also admit that srk is still strong and not written off. At least srk’s not do good phase as of now is still much better as compared to Salman’s 2000s phase. We all know how much his fans live him without masala or entertaining script. They cany even give a face saving opening. Is that the love? What kind of love? He gave 3 consecutive disasters in 3 consecutive years from 2007-2009. So what’s your point about just one multi starrer blockbuster. If gahts the case then Srk gave a solo ATBB Chennai express in his worst phase. So please dont open your mouth so widely. If Salman despite giving so many flops can make such come back then Srk whose not so great phase he is still giving clean hits, you cant even imagine how bigger and much stronger comeback he will make within no longer time.

1st of all I’m the exhibitor in yavatmal and have knowledge of box office business since last 7-8 years… all the stupid people shut your mouth and listen carefully if u don’t know boxoffice business then better to understand than rubbishing other people’s view who knows it better like bollyarena explained… listen carefully
Dilwale budget:- 75cr.(cost of production without SRK’s & Rohit shetty fees as they’re producers) + 25cr.(prints & advertising including promotions n other stuff) = total 100-105cr. landing cost even BOI, taran Adarsh and komal nahta confirmed. Now breakdown of Recovery:- Dilwale is finishing between 148-150cr. nett mark in India that means distributor share is approximately 75cr. + film is finishing at 160cr. gross in overseas in 1st phase from which it’s getting 65-70cr. distributor share as from overseas only 40-45% share come in distributor pocket from gross(note:- there’s no or very negligible entertainment tax on Indian films so gross collection is nett collection in overseas) + Red chillies done a deal with Sony India for 220-230cr. for satellite rights of 4 films including Dilwale so Dilwale value from satellite right is approximately 60cr. + 20cr came from Sony music as part of music rights + 10-15cr. came from brand tie ups like ponds Ariel nerolac etc, internet n Cable rights = total recovery 225cr-230cr. means profit of 230-105cr.= 125cr. which is 125% it’s superhit for producers but main problem is SRK sold film to different regional distributors for 110-115cr. expecting that it’ll at least generate distributor share of Chennai express which is 120cr. plus but its not happened as film under performed mainly in 4-5 big circuits they lost their 40-50% money, film is going for 75cr. share in India in that Bengal, east India, south India and other small circuits where film performed well is recovering their costs but big circuits Mumbai, Gujarat, rajsthan, Delhi/UP, central India & CP/berrar distributors lost money from 10%-50% which is approximately combined 30-40cr. so for different trade giving different verdict so overall it’s neither a big hit nor a flop as some gained and some lost so it’s not a clean hit its a semi hit as it under performed & sold for high prices which it not able to covered for few like Salman Jai ho. those asking for Ra.one, it was not sold for high prices so it’s recovered approximately 90-95% money of distributors and given not great but appreciable profits to producers despite its high budget that’s why got clean hit. so first get the facts of business and then react guys without knowledge telling anything is dangerous.

As far as Salman fans don’t mess against srk unnecessarily, I wont say anything against Salman or other stars. But if they wil do I will show them and shut them up.
