- The entire cost of making Bodyguard (about 45 crores) was less than what SRK spent on marketing Ra One (52 crores).
- Ra One had 5 stars; Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Rajnikanth. Bodyguard had just two stars Salman and Kareena.
- Combining all the costs, Bodyguard cost about a fourth of Ra One.
- Bodyguard was a scene-to-scene remake of a Tamil film, Ra One was a combination of many Hollywood films.
- Both had train stunts, difference was SRK was a superhero, Salman wasn’t but still somehow managed to jump across to the next train!
- Bodyguard didn’t release on 3D, released on lesser prints, still managed about the same business as Ra One (which was marginally higher).
- Salman sleep walked through the film, but SRK and the Ra One team put in a lot of effort and hard work – arguably the most for any Bollywood movie ever!
The only similarity apart from Kareena Kapoor? Well, both were mediocre at best but still managed to set the cash registers ringing!

salmaan was and is famous for killing innocent persons on road, abusing and beating girlfriends, having affairs with so many girlfriends, killing wildlife animals and had gone to jail also and now running charity being human sab bakwaas hai. People call srk gay but he is sucessfully married and has a wife and two children and also runs charity but never shows like salmaan. Now to all the people would you like your children to be salmaan or shahrukh?? Acting wise srk is far ahead of salmaan.

Ra.One(Hindi) did approx 81 cr Nett business in the first 5 days. It fell short of 85+ cr record of Bodyguard.
The regional Tamil/Telugu version have added 5 cr approx bringing a total of 86 cr all versions.
Considering the fact that the movie had higher ticket prices, plus lots more prints and 3D versions, the numbers are little underwhelming and more importantly with not much jumps on Saturday and Sunday, seems like the weekdays are bound to struggle.
I was expecting it from the sallu remake khan fans, they are quite irritated and have lost their brain after seeing the success of ra.one, bark…bark my dear sallu lallu fans.

Shams you seem to be right because i have also found many faults in this post, according to indicine there are only 2 stars in bodyguard but katrina is also there, they say budget of bodyguard is 45 crores but in real it is 60-65 crores, there are too many faults in this post to be mentioned , but they are trying to console these brainless sallu remake khan fans, so i have no objection.

Ra.one collected 96+cr in five days in India. Overseas five days net collection were 32+cr. With today domestic cl 102+cr. Bodyguard collected about 105+cr in 1st week. Ra.one rocked & now wait 4 DON 2.

Ra.One’s Tuesday Box office Collections was very much similar to its monday collections which was disastrous for a film of this hype. The Film was unable to Show Big Jump on Sunday and indicated a poor run on weekdays.
