PK is on a historic run at the box office. But the makers of the film would have been extremely worried of the inevitable comparisons with Umesh Shukla’s OMG! Oh My God, which has plenty of similarities to PK.
Soon after the release of OMG! Oh My God, there were reports that the writers of PK – Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi, were re-writing certain portions of the film to avoid comparisons with the Akshay Kumar – Paresh Rawal starrer.
Now, DNA India reports that Raju Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra approached Umesh Shukla and offered to pay Rs 8 crore to stop the film.
“OMG! Oh My God was still being shot then. Aamir, Rajkumar and Vidhu offered Rs 8 crore to Umesh to stop shooting the film!” DNA quoted a source as saying.
It must be noted that Raju Hirani and Abhijat Joshi started writing the script of PK, soon after the release of 3 Idiots. It was only after they completed the script that they got to know that OMG! Oh My God has a similar storyline.

Those who are saying I am saying different which is not proposed by PK movie. Answer thus…. At the climax scene when tapaswi asks aamir about what is right number? He replied that we should worship the God who created all of us and .not whom you create . And I leave Hindus andmovie goers todecide what it mean.
Also there is a scene where aamir takes a stone and apply paan to make it red… andstudents come to worship the stone. What does pk mean?

Hirani-cowriters should never ever take 3 years to write an original screenplay.
Similarities are bound to happen. 2 years is long enough time.
P.K. screenplay should’ve been done by Christmas 2012.

I not only read in DNA but also in some other reputed online media agency about the same few days back. Not only Umesh Shukla was offered 8 Crores but also threatened by Khan! So called hypocrite superstars does anything to stay on top!

You imbecile- forget screenplay for a second n think about the dates an actor can give a film n he can only give dates when hes heard the final acript… Not every actor works like Akki Sir who signs multiple craps per yr without asking if there is a script or not just how much hes getting paid…. Umesh shukla has just clarified that all these is baseless rumour. They were never approached by pk makers and he loved watching pk.
Some fools are still commenting nonsense on pk but the public has given it’s verdict.Pk is a outstanding movie and it does not target any religion in particular,obviously in a hindu majority country the focus will be on hindus.It is a wonderful movie with beautiful sensibility.
