Dhoom 3 has just completed its 2nd record-breaking weekend at the domestic box office. The film has collected Rs 38.85 crore in its second weekend to take its cumulative total to Rs 227.84 crore net.
Dhoom 3 has now crossed the lifetime business of Chennai Express in less than 10 days. The Aamir Khan starrer is likely to be the highest grosser of all time by the end of its second week.
In comparison, Chennai Express collected Rs 25.21 crore and 3 Idiots collected 34 crore in their second weekends at the box office. However, Krrish 3 continues to hold the record for the highest second weekend collections – the film collected Rs 39.74 crore.

–> Cold wave in North (Coldest December in 10 yrs)
–> No Big holidays apart from Christmas in the first week
–> Released on working day
I guess all the above reasons are reserved only for SRK’s failures like Don 2. If SRk fans can pls explain what happened during Don 2.
–> Same genre as Dhoom 3 (Stylish hollywood copied action – scenes and story lifted from many hollywood movies)

–> Positive reviews by Critics – D3 lacks here as it got mixed reviews

Just to summarize Aamir’s success in few words of SRK fans’s most beloved site:

For those morons who doubt hrithik super star power following is the answer:
1) Hrithik is the only star in bollywood who became Super Star overnight, a achievement which no Khan had.

3) Since his debut in 2000, he won filmfare best actor 4 times more than Khans i.e. Sallu – Big Aanda (Zero) , SRK – 4, Aamir – 1.
4) Since his debut in 2000, His movies were major grosser’s of the year for 3 years which is very comparable to Khans i.e. Sallu – 4, SRK – 2 & Aamir – 3.
5) Only Actor whose historical movie was hit – Jodha Akabr, unlike SRK -Asoka – Disaster, Aamir- Mangal Pandey – Flop & Sallu – Veer – Flop.
Though he has been versatile actor and comparable to Khans in everything. Still his fans bark when their stars records are broken.
The first star to manipulate collection was SRK – the liar whose film Ra One just crossed 100 cr (as per BOI ) & SRK stated it collected 125 cr..one of the worst movies that time. Even CE was same. Followed by Salman whose film Ek Tha Tiger manipulated it by 15 cr saying it collected 199 cr when it hardly collected 185 cr. Sallu – the liar.
If they want to remove Krish 3 from list better remove ETT/CE also from list. Sallu / SRK fan sucks like anything now as no movie of them is strong enough to collect more than Dhoom 3 or PK.

K3 is far better and several times more entertains than D3. If K3 had D3 release timeframe it would have made 300 crores.
If D2 had released on D3 timeframe it would have made 400 crores. Just to be fair if 3i had released in this time frame it would have done 500 crores.

If D3 will not get so much then every amir fan will say its non holiday release,long runtime and whole blame should be on amir…its great that D3 did phenomenal business and did so well at boxoffice…business increase day by day and b’wood witness three 200 cr movies…no wonder if kick on eid or hny on diwali make 200 cr in 5 days with increase screens…amir fans wont accept but D3 have adv in form of 2 open week and 800 more screen then CE and 400 mre then K3 which is advantage for D3 as CE hav adv of runtime and holiday in first six day and on 7th day faced OUTMD holiday with 2400 + screen and from 8 day around 1700 and in case D3 in 10days get 3 Holidays and from 8 day it gets around 3800 screen…Each movie have its destiny and fate…K3 figure get under scan as BOI under reports or Roshans inflated its always debatable ??? Ce face competition from Marathi film duniyadari which was a big hit inmumbai and Maharashtra and accupied half of the screen space. And even more in city like satara, kolhapur, Sholapur sangli satara aurangabad akola amravati jalgoan and many more including Mumbai Pune nashik Nagpur
And 20% from Boi for over reporting. Check BMS theatre r running empty houses hardly 5-10 accupency is there but Boi reporting huge ce and k3 collection reported very less with better accupency on BMS. Now I m 100% sure ce did 220 and k3 did 190-195 d3 has little higher because of many factors especially first 5 days.

SRK fails in a super hero it becomes experimental, if krissh3 is one of the biggest hits it becomes franchise. These guys are just living in a denial mode with their self pro claimed king.
@aks check older comment on different thread where I mentioned that Amir is second biggest in terms of fan following. First srk and 3rd and 4th is hritik and Sallu respectively. Don’t attack on me Sallu fans this is fact. Why I rate srk higher because of his sheer consistency while giving hit in both the market. He always remained top 3 since his debut. Amir became huge after growth of multiplex only. But srk maintain both single screen and multiplex era without seeing any drought. And many times he turn unlucky where his best wom movies saw many hurdles for ex RNBDJ or ce etc. which hampered progress of the movie this is not case with Amir’s potential movies. He knows that Talaash will not make much impact even it release on good release time. His only movie that affected by other movie that is fanaa. Which was excellent in first 2 weeks and suddenly got brake due to phir Hera pheri and then krish. Srks success like sachin tendulkar compare Dravid sehwag and Lakshman. Whose highest score remained 248 compare to dravid’s 270, sehwag 311 and Lakshman’s 281.
