Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has refused to make any comparisons between the box office collections of his film ‘Raees’ and to the last release of his contemporaries – Salman Khan’s Sultan and Aamir Khan’s Dangal – both of which went on to collect more than 300 crore at the domestic box office.
“It is nice to know everything is going well. If we start comparing, then sky is the limit. Why should we compare only the last big hits like ‘Dangal’ and ‘Sultan’ which are much bigger hits than perhaps this film can ever be?” asked SRK, when the media questioned him about the constant comparisons between the box office collections his films to those of Aamir and Salman.
“Therefore, that comparison from outside is good but from inside we know the truth. ‘Raees’ has a limit and we are happy if the film reaches that” he added.
Shah Rukh also said the business of ‘Raees’ has exceeded his expectations and it would be wrong to compare his film with the other release last weekend Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’.
“Every film has its own place, own business. So it is weird to evaluate one film’s business with another (Kaabil) on the same criterion. Having said that, we knew we would have a limited business. At this point of time, we are little beyond that also. The film has done fair business than what we expected.”
Also starring Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Raees has collected Rs 93.24 crore in 5 days at the box office.

The limit is not because of Raees.. the limit is because of you. Your films only do well in first weekend that too because you fool corporates by giving them tickets for cheap in bulk. Raees will earn same as Rustom. Hahaha. Your level is same as Akki now. Salman and Aamir are stars in the sky, you can only look at them and wonder if you’ll ever reach there.. but you’ll never get close in your lifetime.
