Two big films are set to release during the Christmas weekend in 2017. Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ director Aanand L Rai’s next film, which centres around a dwarf, has been officially announced for Christmas 2017.
There have been rumours that the Eros International and Colour Yellow Productions’ venture, could feature Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The star cast announcement will be made soon.
Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani has also said that his next directorial venture, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, is targeting a Christmas release in 2017. Hirani’s last two films, 3 Idiots and PK, released during Christmas and went on to become the highest grossers of all time. His next film is based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt.
The script, Hirani says, is ready and the film will go on floors in July this year.
Two big films, two acclaimed directors and possibly two fantastic actors.. all targeting the best weekend for film business in a year - Christmas.
2017 will come in a long time…Dutt biopic will be interesting..Since Hirani is doing extra effort and gives all in its script…If it releases in 2017 with a good release date then history will be written…Like HR gave 2003 HGOFTY with koi mill gaya after 4-5 flops…I think Ranbir also need and will earn HGOFTY…

Rajkumar Hirani is a great director but this is his first biopic and many people dislike Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir… On the other hand, Anand L Rai is a much liked director too. I don’t comment yet on SRK because nothing is sure.

@Rangil Unfortunately Srk wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth so obviously he didn’t got film offers easily in the initial stages of his career unlike Aamir who was launched by his own family and Salman who had access to the industry via his father.

Anand L Roy give us TWM,TWMR & Ranjhana.Three love film was loaded with strong entertainment values & North Indian essence & crispy songs.
All films had universal appeal & sustain well on Box Office & collect all over.
RAJU Hirani is the director who gave us Theme film but with high dose of entertainment which was new in Bollywood that time & his 3Idiots & Pk both were hugely successful all over.
If this Clash will happen then entertainment with Strong content will fight with each other.
Both will be punish & will be loser at Box Office.
Ranbir will ensure Hirani of his 1st flop. Ranbir is sukha kismiss who can’t potray any role beside lover boy let aside Sanjau Dutt. People will throw sandals at theatre. Above avg. At best that too for Hirani Sir.
