Two big films are set to release during the Christmas weekend in 2017. Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ director Aanand L Rai’s next film, which centres around a dwarf, has been officially announced for Christmas 2017.
There have been rumours that the Eros International and Colour Yellow Productions’ venture, could feature Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The star cast announcement will be made soon.
Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani has also said that his next directorial venture, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, is targeting a Christmas release in 2017. Hirani’s last two films, 3 Idiots and PK, released during Christmas and went on to become the highest grossers of all time. His next film is based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt.
The script, Hirani says, is ready and the film will go on floors in July this year.
Two big films, two acclaimed directors and possibly two fantastic actors.. all targeting the best weekend for film business in a year - Christmas.
I am expecting YRF to announce Dhoom Reloaded starring Hrithik Roshan. Both will be blown away :D
It wud not be right for any movie clash with Sanjay Dutt biopic.. He is probably the most misinterpreted stars of our times!!!
I heard that Anand L. Rai’s movie might have Ranveer instead of SRK in the lead. Isn’t that true?
Salman Rejected Ananad Rai’s Movie and SRK Grabbed it.. Well its nothing new.. SRK has been living on Rejected movie of others like Darr by Aamir,DDLJ by Saif,Swades by Aamir, Baazigar and Chak de india by SALMAN.. After ruining 2 Christmas with Don2 and Dullwale he is coming to Ruin 3rd..
But Raju kumar hirani is Much Bigger Brand than SRK..
I think it is very important for srk sir to choose only great scripts irrespective of its release date .
if Anand ‘s movie has excellent script then I will be very happy if srk signs it ….!!!!

Lol srk gaya kaam se. Even after the debacle of dilwale he’s still daring to clash with a raju hirani’s movie. ROFl and Ranbir Kapoor’s fan following in big metros like delhi and mumbai is humongous indeed so trouble times ahead for SRK.

Even SLB easily thrashed Shahruk so imagine what Raju Hirani’s film will do to Shahruk’s film. Srk’s film= disaster.
Anand Rai is a fine director. His and SRKs combo shall be really interesting. Hirani is a great director but if SRK plays dwarf in an Anand Rais movie, that will be always my first choice any day.

Sanju biopic will not release on Christmas, Damn sure, even if however it release no care as people will not watch it like PK bcaz …. its niche biopic genre will not be huge successful as we have seen many in previous due to known common factor; but other hand Anand L Rai is amazing director his films have great story & its appeals every corner. So, no need 2 worry.
and now if YRF announces Dhoom Reloaded on Christmas then Both will get blown away.

One hopes Ranbir can get back to winning ways before the release of Hirani film. If he is coming off successive BO failures that could affect the popularity and initial of that film.

If some how YRF lock Christmas 2017 DHOOM4 or THUG with HRITHIK then total Wash Out for HIRANI and SRK
HRITHIK ROSHAN will ROCK in STYLE in THUG or DHOOM:4

One plus point of Dilwale :-
Dilwale didn’t do well in multiplexes but its open the door for Sharukh movies in single screens as #KAALI. (Dilwale done super hit business in all single screens of India). After Mithun Chakravorty (Pyari Bahna) the 2nd bollywood actor is so famous as #KAALI.
Forget Raj, Rahul etc., Now only #KAALI
Rajkumar Hirani is the best director in India but I think it is too early to make a biopic on Sanjay Dutt and casting Ranbir Kapoor for the role is doubtful.

Its strange that everyone wants to clash with srk . BTW I am doubted about Sanjay Dutt biopic because Hirani is trying a different genre for the first time so cant say how good it will turn out to be . Also Ranbir looks like a misfit for the role of Sanjay Dutt .
