42 films have crossed the 100 crore mark at the domestic (India) box office and a majority of those major grossers have featured bankable male stars in the lead. The only exceptions are Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Grand Masti – both of which were sequels to successful films.
So it’s quite clear that the Hindi film industry is not only male-dominated, but is also almost entirely star-driven.
Salman Khan, over the last few years, has been a mini industry. Since the second half of 2010, every single film featuring the megastar in the lead, has crossed the 100 crore mark. He leads the second best (Shah Rukh Khan) by a margin of 3 films.
Ajay Devgn has 5 major grossers, while the founder of the 100 crore crore club, Aamir Khan has 4 films – tied with Akshay Kumar for the fourth spot.
Hrithik Roshan has three films. He’s followed by the younger generation of actors – Ranveer, Ranveer and Varun have two 100 crore grossers each. John also has two 100 crore films, but both were multi-starrers. Arjun, Farhan, Sidharth and Saif have one each.

@ Prashant- I don’t have any problem with srk because he does his mistakes and I do my mistake. Sometimes srk fan’s annoying comments make me to bash srk and sometimes i annoy them.
I was in hurry to make that comment that’s why i didn’t write figures on paper, i just typed figures and calculate without calculator. You can see i made 3 comments and finally corrected fourth time.

Emperor of disasters and fan less actor Flopjay Emptygun has only 2 movies in 100 cr. and both with rohit shetty. Without that he is smaller than saif ali khan. Never dare to put him above the biggest global megastar and baap of bollywood Emperor Aamir Khan.

Your Joker Boy has 4 100cr frossers but look at the total investment of his 4 annual craps over the past 5 yes n then look at the astronomical losses he has caused producers…! 100cr nowadays is not even a benchmark well it is for the big boys who try to earn 100cr in the first weekend itself…! Dangal will shut the mouth of all salman fans who have been blabbering a lot against Aamir since last few days. Salman followed Aamir’s path and started doing masala movis but aamir could easily have more 100 cr films but he had guts to do different experimental films and moved to different zones thats called legend. And salman being insecure of losing his career again, sticked to same masala movies and only depends on masala scripts. Give him a pure thriller genre and then only we can analyze his true standing in the industry. Salman fans better shut their mouth up and dont blabber against class actor+Megastar Aamir Khan. Salman can nver even come close to Aamir’s achievements.
