42 films have crossed the 100 crore mark at the domestic (India) box office and a majority of those major grossers have featured bankable male stars in the lead. The only exceptions are Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Grand Masti – both of which were sequels to successful films.
So it’s quite clear that the Hindi film industry is not only male-dominated, but is also almost entirely star-driven.
Salman Khan, over the last few years, has been a mini industry. Since the second half of 2010, every single film featuring the megastar in the lead, has crossed the 100 crore mark. He leads the second best (Shah Rukh Khan) by a margin of 3 films.
Ajay Devgn has 5 major grossers, while the founder of the 100 crore crore club, Aamir Khan has 4 films – tied with Akshay Kumar for the fourth spot.
Hrithik Roshan has three films. He’s followed by the younger generation of actors – Ranveer, Ranveer and Varun have two 100 crore grossers each. John also has two 100 crore films, but both were multi-starrers. Arjun, Farhan, Sidharth and Saif have one each.

100 CR Club started 8 years ago in 2008 . Many people now feel 100 CR is not a big deal anymore but honestly it is still a big deal . Aamir and SRK have not yet given 100 CR on Non Holiday . Aamir has 93 with Taalash and SRK has 86 with RNBDJ . Shahid, Emraan, Aditya, Sushant, Tiger and Ayushmann are yet to enter the 100 CR Club . Salman has an insane record with 9 consecutive 100 CR grossers and it is great to see Ajay with 5, Akshay with 4, SRK with 6, Aamir with 4 and Hrithik with 3 . So Sultan will be Salman’s 10th consecutive 100 CR Grosser . Mohenjo Daro will be Hrithik’s 4th 100 CR Grosser . H3 will be Akki’s 5th 100 CR Grosser and Rustom might be Akki’s 6th 100 CR Grosser . Ajay will have 6 with Shivaay and Aamir will have 5 with Dangal . I am waiting to see 200 CR on Non Holiday . YJHD and Bang Bang ! came really close but let’s see which movie will be the 1st 200 CR Non Holiday Grosser .

So i think if you have confidence in your movie then go & book EDX….if Khans announce their movie on same date then don’t be bother…let they come you come with your movie & beat them if you can…

In 2004 Veer Zaara and Aitraaz got the benefit of both Eid and Diwali Holidays . In 2005 Garam Masala and Kyon Ki got the benefit of both Eid and Diwali Holidays . In 2006 Don and Jaan-E-Mann got the benefit of both Eid and Diwali Holidays . In 2000 there were 2 Eids . First took place in Jan 2000 when Bulandi and Mela clashed together . I wanna add jai ho and ek villain too as special mention. forget about Jai ho’s production values and some heavy action scenes. It was a gem talked about peoples problem. Ek villain because I like Emotional movies.
