Bodyguard Box Office Collections: Day 2

After a historic start on Wednesday, the Thursday collections witnessed a drop almost everywhere. If Wednesday was 21 crores, Thursday was somewhere in the 17 – 18 crores range. The two day all India net is a little under 40 crores.

On Friday, the morning shows witnessed a drop of more than 30 – 40%. A few theaters we contacted, reported that the occupancy for morning shows was around 50 – 60%. The Friday collections are likely to be between 13 – 14 crores (estimates) which is approximately the same as the first day collections of Salman Khan’s last release Ready.

• Day 1 (Wednesday) – 21 crores
• Day 2 (Thursday) – 17.5 crores
• Day 3 (Friday) – 13.5 crores

3 Day total – 52 crores (Please note, that the collections are early estimates only)

50 crores in 3 days – 6 days still left in the week and assuming that the Sunday collections are around 18 – 20 crores, we think 90 crores is very much possible and while 100 crores in Week 1 looks difficult, it can be achieved if Bodyguard sustains well over the weekdays (Monday – Thursday).
