After a historic start on Wednesday, the Thursday collections witnessed a drop almost everywhere. If Wednesday was 21 crores, Thursday was somewhere in the 17 – 18 crores range. The two day all India net is a little under 40 crores.
On Friday, the morning shows witnessed a drop of more than 30 – 40%. A few theaters we contacted, reported that the occupancy for morning shows was around 50 – 60%. The Friday collections are likely to be between 13 – 14 crores (estimates) which is approximately the same as the first day collections of Salman Khan’s last release Ready.
- Day 1 (Wednesday) – 21 crores
- Day 2 (Thursday) – 17.5 crores
- Day 3 (Friday) – 13.5 crores
3 Day total – 52 crores (Please note, that the collections are early estimates only)
50 crores in 3 days – 6 days still left in the week and assuming that the Sunday collections are around 18 – 20 crores, we think 90 crores is very much possible and while 100 crores in Week 1 looks difficult, it can be achieved if Bodyguard sustains well over the weekdays (Monday – Thursday).

I think that the 100 crore mark for week one is not that difficult. See, 21.25 crore on Wednesday(the opening), 17.5 on Thursday and if Friday turns out to be atleast 14-15 crore, we have a total of atleast 53 crore in three days. And say if Saturday is 13 crore, Sunday about 17-18 crore again, we have a total sum of atleast 83 crore in 5 days. Now lets go onto Monday. If collections hold up and positive words of mouth from the audience continues, Monday can have atleast 9-10 crore, Tuesday 7-8 crore and Wednesday lets say atleast 7 crore(we hope the collections are even more); this leads to a total of most likely over 1023 crore. So yea, like said in your article above, if Sunday has 18-19 crore, then the 100 crore week one is not that difficult. I just hope that this film crosses the 100 crore mark in first week. I saw the film and it was an awesome performance by Salman(as always), Kareena, Hazel, Mahesh, Aditya and the guy called Tsunami. Its a complete family entertainer, with awesome songs, story, comedy and action. Lets just pray that if 100 crore is hit in week one, Salman will be relieved from his surgical pain he is going through. INHSALLAH it will happen!!!

indicine ,for your kind information 2 nd collection is around 16 crore not 17.5 crore.
Bodyguard is set to have another huge day on Friday but there seems to be another 20% plus drop on the cards. Last year Dabangg collected 14.45 crore on Friday which was its first day and it is possible that Bodyguard’s Friday may end up below that figure.
This will also make it tough for Saturday to show much growth though Sunday should show a jump but how much remains to be seen.
Bodyguard is a huge winner at the boxoffice but early trends suggest that the Dabangg lifetime nett total of 140 crore set last year on Eid seems safe while the jury is still out whether it can cross the lifetime 121 crore nett total of Ready which is the biggest grosser of the year so far.

Ok, according to Reliance and taran , first day was 21.6, Second day was 19. So total was approx 41 for two days.
Third day : some sites are saying 13. 5 to 14as per early estimates. But as we have seen the end results are always 1.5 to 2 crore more. So i am expecting 15 or 16.
i watched the movie, the fighting scene are absloutely brilliant, music is awsome, teri meri best song of the year, kareena looking so charming in the moive, Full Salman khan style movie, Will be third blockbuster Eid hit and fourth in a row of Salman the king of all khans and king of bollywood the macho the real hero the real good human bieng love you , Film will surely cross 120 crores. and it been never happend in the history of bollywood cinema that any hero movie to score more then 100 crore in back to back three time…. is he has to prove anything more……….
