A couple of reviews for Akshay Kumar’s Blue are out and both are extremely positive. One is a video review by Joginder Tuteja for Lehren TV (watch below) and other is a review by Taran Adarsh.
Taran in his review promises a never seen before experience “You haven’t watched something like this on the Hindi screen before. Never ever!” He is also all praise for the director Anthony D’Souza “It requires courage, will power, fortitude, vision and of course, the financial backing to accomplish a project of this magnitude. And debutante director Anthony D’Souza puts his skills and the financial resources to best use. Anthony D’Souza is a director to watch. This film has style as well as substance. Also, it requires courage and conviction to think out of the box and most importantly, execute the material with panache.”
The performances have come in for special praise too, especially Akshay who seems to have delivered his career best performance “Sanjay Dutt carries his part well, although he looks very well fed in some scenes. Akshay Kumar steals the show with a sterling performance. This would easily classify amongst his best works. Zayed Khan is highly competent. This, despite the fact that he’s sharing the screen space with two hugely experienced actors.”
Female stars Katrina Kaif (in a 8 minute long special appearance) and Lara Dutta have nothing much to do, yet they impress mostly with their beauty, charm and screen presence “Lara Dutta has never looked so good before. Though the story revolves around the guys, you can’t overlook Lara’s small but significant contribution to the film. Katrina Kaif looks gorgeous and performs exceedingly well. The feminine charm would send the youth in a frenzy.”
So what’s the final verdict? 4 on 5 stars.. “On the whole, BLUE has style as well as substance. The film has everything going in its favour, right from its incredible star cast to the superb action scenes to the hitherto unseen marine life to the tremendous hype and hoopla.”
Time for Akshay Kumar fans and the industry to rejoice we think. First credible positive reviews for a Akshay Kumar movie in a long long time, add to it, great advance booking and a Holiday weekend.. A box office blockbuster? Lets wait and watch.

watch a movie on gut instinct and not on reviews. A movie may cater to various taste of audiences. some may like it and the others may not. I guess review writing has become an online hobby with many of us. We just write what we feel and try to dampen the spirit of movie goers. If you want to watch a movie go ahead and watch it, irrespective of how good/bad the reviews are. I know the so called best movie reviews by writers of various blogs/forums have proven wrong on too many occassions. For eg. Wanted. It had no story, very predictable, sense less movie, but good acting by Salman and the rest of the cast, caught on with many audiences and did exceedingly well in many cinemas, though not that good in multiplexes. But then who cares, if the movie is declared a HIT. Right?? So just enjoy the festive mood and watch whichever movie you want to, coz at the end of the day: its your money, no one should tell you where and how to spend it. You’ve earned it, you spend it. Simple.
i want to express sum more grief towards this idiotic movie
can any1 justify the 4* rating given to the movie ?????? I think nobody can do it
4*means a muv which is close to perfect but BLUE is far from being good
if this is the criteria for giving ratings then muvies like wednesday black friday will get 10 on 5 stars

@ punter: but 20-25 min underwater sequence is much less for the film to be called an underwater adventure yaar. atleast 45 min should have been underwater sequence.

I guess this festive season the two other movies “All the best” and “Main aur Mrs. Khanna”, will hugely benefit coz of “Blue”. With such rushes in theatres, advance booking, housefull boards, no tickets etc. etc., whatever you may call it. People go to cinemas to watch “Blue”, but since they dont manage to get tickets, they have no other option but to watch the other new releases rather than goin back home disappointed. Thus the success of “Blue”, will also rub on the other movies. Good for the producers, distributors and movieplexes.
the reviews from joginder & taran adarsh giving 4 out of 5 stars are actually fooling people to go out & watch this silly movie with no story line, actors are actually over reacting to be stylish which is totally unneccesary, Akshay has lost his charm when he entered into action movies again & actually over acting in many scenes so that he can be better than Sanjay dutt… lara dutta always showing of her skin wearing bikiny in many scenes which was completely not required…….
as usual all we have to say is singh is kinng. he is the best and he is the today’surperstar. this film is the biggest hit in the bollywood industry. akshay is the best. the khans time is over.

Blue Is Something Different. But its worth watching at the Cinema.
Watch it at the cinema if you want to rate it.. dont go for pdvd rip on the net.
Its a high octane action fiesta…. not seen in previous bollywood movies.
hough storyline is not that good, indians should be proude that their cinema is moving forward technically and that also by such production budgets.
Its true many indian producers dont like to invest their money cause it costs very very much to produce action movies like hollywood. That’s why bollywood has always been lower than hollywood in terms of technology.
Now with movies like Blue, bollywood can be proud to move along technically with hollywood.
I’m sure indians dont want to watch typical bollywood love stories and comedies all their life.

if u dont like any movie or if u didnt watch it realy doesnt mean that movie is flop my reseach is 100 % real dil to pagal hai i agree role was very small but it wasnt guest apperience , Bhagam Bhag was realy good movie and above avg eben in some circuts it was hit movie collected 24 cr in india and more then 10 in overseas. Kambaght ishq collected 55 cr in india and 15 cr in overseas total 70 cr.
and after two weeks on 31 oct we will see that where BLUE is standing .
so leave it till 31 oct every thing, and i said before on 9 oct that dont fight we will see every thing on 16 oct now we have to wait till 31 oct when blue will finish its 2 weeks.
but it is conferm that MAMK is biggest flop of the year .
