Bang Bang continued its steady run in its second week at the domestic box office. The film has grossed Rs 308 crore worldwide, as the overseas markets have contributed nearly 75 crores to the film’s worldwide total.
Hrithik Roshan has become the first actor to deliver two back-to-back worldwide 300 crore grossers, as both Krrish 3 and Bang Bang have performed well all over.
Bang Bang should have collected much more in its first extended weekend itself, which would have ensured a much bigger total in India. But given the fact that the film was panned by the critics and the word-of-mouth was mixed to negative, Bang Bang will finish with lifetime business of 175 cr (including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions) in India – the second highest grossing non-festive release after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

release during the very dull periods ( i.e pre-diwali period ) and class with haider ( which was not a small film ), I think that BANG BANG ! doing outstanding business at b.o . if BANG BANG ! would release in either fresh non-holiday or holiday like eid, diwali, Christmas and without clash , then I am 100% sure that BANG BANG ! would break all living records .
but truth is truth, now BANG BANG ! is a hit in India and blockbuster in overseas.

@indicine: Ok. If that is the case, a non-festive release collection records will always belong to someone other than khans, as khans release their movies mostly on Eid,Diwali and Christmas and according to you, everything except these three festivals are a non-festive release :)
Someone said that ce,kick,d3 would have done more than 300 crores if they had released in the same period as BangBang. Grow up people! BangBang has done really well if we see the negative to mixed reviews and WOM,clash,lower number of shows per day compared to other biggies and so on.

@Arjun Kapoor, insulted? Most of these newcomers are 3 or 4 films old, let them grow. Multiplex audience in cities will watch a film if they like the trailer and promos. But in the interiors of India, only a mass-appealing genre and star-cast can sell tickets. Even Ranbir Kapoor has a long way to go before his name alone can sell tickets at smaller centres.

Sun–Sunday is there for every released film
Mon(Bakrid)–Again a half holiday
So overall,it would be unfair to call it a festive release to me.
And again clash with a critically acclaimed haider deteriorated its business…
Contentwise, I still feel it’s ahead of CE and just a bit higher than kick,although a bit behind dhoom 3. .

@indicine before 2009 eid was not considered good for film release but Salman made it big by releasing his blockbuster films on eid.if any film from khan trio release on any day it itself become festival for all that was due to their starpower

over bb is not great movie.k3 and bb manipulating their fig. but ek tha tiger not manipulated their fig. they shown us real fig 198 cr if they want they even cross their fig 200cr or 3 idiots record but they didn’t.

@Bin_Ali, I have never posted hatred comments against HR except for one occassion. It was done in anger in reply to a HR fan that insulted Salman Khan. But I have always made fun of Hrithik. They were never hate comments.
But my appreciation for HR is that he has made such a big confession on a national TV. Hardly does any superstar of HR level do it lest it should affect their stardom or reputation. But HR had guts and was humble enough! Even Salman said, in a good sense, HR has gone crazy becoming very humble. If any HR fan comments against Salman Khan nowadays, I will target that fan specifically without targeting HR!
Eid is nothing before release WANTED film but Salman made holiday like Diwali and Christmas. I’m satisfy see bang bang verdict HIT in India and blockbuster in overseas.

how is bang a non festive release it released on 5 day extended weekend with national holidays on all the 5 day weekend which kick did not get but still collections could not beat yeah jawani hai diwani that means hrithik is actually unable to compete with ranbir, so first he has to beat ranbir and then after atleast 20 to 30 years we can compare him with khanns of bollywood.
