2. Ahhh.. So tough to answer as the movie is 8 months away from release. But it should break all records!
3. Currently just one, Kiran Rao! One a serious note, he was married to Reena Dutta and has 2 kids with her – Junaid (son) and Ira (daughter). In 2002 December he filed for divorce and in the last week of December 2005 he married Kiran Rao.
Must say, that last week of December has a lot of significance in Aamir’s life. He married in the last week, Taare Zameen Par released in the last week and so did Ghajini!

3. It took Akshay Kumar quite a lot of time to become such a big star, he has now been acting for a long time. He doesn’t have the looks to act like a college boy. How much long time will he have till he has to look for other types of role( and not be the lead hero)?
4.Akshay Khanna is a good actor. What kind of movies is he acting in now, and does the movies have any chance of being a hit?
1. Paathshala with Ayesha Takia and Kaminay with Priyanka Chopra directed by Vishal Bharadwaj.
2. Yes, Shahid has tremendous potential.
3. Akshay’s real test will be when his mindless comedies stop working. Why will he do next? As long as the audience comsume his endless comedies, he will be right there at the top. All of his last 8 – 10 movies have been comedies, apart from Tashan which failed at the Boxoffice.
4. Akshaye Khanna lacks box-office power and currently has no films in his kitty. He has been signed for Voice from the Sky to be directed by Farhan Akhtar. No clue when Farhan would start filming this, he is currently busy with his acting career.
One more thing :) I find this section just too good.
Raam Gopal Varma..It seems like everything he makes is a blockbuster flop! But he is still considered as a big name. Or am I wrong? What movies is he making now? And how many hits and flops he has had in the recent years?

2. Yes obviously. Rab Ne was promoted as a SRK – Aditya Chopra movie but Ghajini was purely sold and marketed around Aamir Khan.
3. Chandni Chowk will gross much higher than Billu Barber. CCTC is a solo Akshay film, BB is a Irfan Khan film, SRK has a supporting role.
4. Ghajini will probably beat OSO and Dhoom 2 by the end of this week i.e within 2 weeks of release.

2. Abhishek Bachchan’s Delhi 6, Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots and Hrithik Roshan’s Kites.
3. There are rumours that Victory is indeed based on the success of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, although it hasnt been confirmed by the makers. Chances at the box-office depends on the merits of the film, it should open well as its based on cricket.
4. In Bollywood, for newcomers, its more about luck and opportunities than talent. Take for example Abhay Deol, natural and a very good actor, has performed well in great movies like Socha Na Tha and Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, but without any luck as both tanked at the box-office. With good performances, good roles, good movies – he is still struggling. Bollywood seriously lacks big stars who can carry a movie on their shoulders. Except Hrithik, Aamir, SRK and Akshay there is no other actor who can guarantee a great opening.
5. Hrithik has Jodha Akbar! Which other star can boast of a historical that worked at the box-office? Aamir failed with Mangal Pandey and SRK failed with Asoka. Hrithik has a long way to go, he has just done 13 films. Akshay needs to do something other than comedy now, its high time. As mentioned somewhere above 9 of his last 10 movies have been comedies, the exception being Tashan which failed.

Indicine Team: I never expected that Joy Mukerji is Kajol’s dad..means he’s Tanuja’s husband.
Simita Patel’s son is Prateik Babbar.. I think the most 2 actors who deserve to win the award in the supporting roles this year are: Arjun Rampal for Rock on and Prateik Babbar, but Anil Kapoor didn’t do any special performance in Yuvraaj, his role didn’t touch our feelings in anyway although he’s a very good actor.

Do you agree that Ghajni had its flaws,
1.how could the cop run faster than the bus, and also when he sneaked into Sanjay’s flat, he was unarmed, no gun or handcuffs etc? 2. Ghajni killed his enemies with a gun. What happened to that gun when Sanjay caught up with him? Had he left it under his pillow at home? And how is it that his strongest bodyguards fell with one blow from Sanjay but Ghajni himself, being an older and less built man, kept getting blows after blows but still survived and had enough energy to keep running?
3. Sanjay was a man of means and would have surely been treated by a posse of top specialists around the world so what was his file doing in the medical school library?

Every movie has its own flaws, but a lot depends on the genre. Without Creative liberties that are taken in most films, movies, whether it is Hollywood or Bollywood will never be the same.
Q1: I still don’t know who are Shahid kapoor’s parents? I heard his father was a star, but have no idea about his family. who is his dad and who’s his mom?
Q2: Yesterday, I saw on NDTV a interview with Akshay Kumar talking about his movies and his profits, so the announcer asked him: Why doesn’t he work in big banners, in movies with big directors! ( I don’t think it’s right to ask someone this question.. it’s a kind of embarrasing!) so Akshay replied saying: they don’t pay me! The announcer smiled and said: they don’t pay you?! How come? then he said: when I work with directors, we share the profits all together, if the movie worked at the box office so it’s a benefit for all of us and if it flopped, it’s a loss for everyone.. so that means that Akshay doesn’t have any rate in bollywood as some ppl used to say: he gets now over 70crores per film! Means it’s a lie!
And the 2nd embarrasing question was: why didn’t he get any awards.. at awards functions?! (that was so embarrasing question! how could someone reply to this question?!) so Akshay Kumar answered: The organizers tell me : If I attend the function so they will give me the award! and he added: I don’t accept this way awards, if they value me as an actor and want to reward me according to my talents, then I do agree to receive these awards) and what he said means the following: all the actors who receive awards aren’t talented..but they buy them!)
My question is: Do u think what Akshay said is 100% true?! Or because the announcer embarrased him with her questions, so he had to reply whatever and just to give some answer for the questions?
2. Akshay usually goes for a profit share wherein he gets takes a certain share of the profits. The bigger production houses like Yashraj Films are unwilling to do this, althought Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi profit was shared with SRK, who didnt charge his salary for the film.
Now regarding the awards, there are so many great actors in the industry who dont get recognition for their work. Someone like a SRK, who is popular with the audience and close to the organisers of the award functions HAS to be nominated for every single movie and performance. Did he deserve a nomination for Om Shanti Om or Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna? Those were strictly average performances. But given the fact that he is such a huge star and the audience that he commands, he will be nominated. Its the same for others like Hrithik and Aamir. Actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor, Irfan Khan, Vinay Pathak have delivered such brilliant performances over the years and contributed so much to Indian Cinema, without any recognition what so ever.
And finally coming to Akshay, although he is very popular, he has to do a role of substance to have any chance of getting an award.

I’m a sri lankan.Don’t u think ghajini did better business than rab ne because of its very good promotion done by Amir Khan? SRK like didn’t promote rab ne at all due to mumbai terror attacks. People went to see it because of promotion, christmas holiday and that people have heard that the both tamil and english(momento) counterparts were superhits.
Because I went to see both movies. Ghajini was not as good as I expected.
1)How come sanjay didn’t die by the massive beat by ghajini at the same moment kalpana did?
2)At the end ghajini stabbed sanjay with that metal rod, and it went about 5-6 inches inside sanjay’s body. How come he managed to survive?
I would like to know your opinion on this. For me Rab ne was much better than Ghajini.All my friends including non-SRK fans liked rab ne. It really touches your heart.Though lot of people seem to have a problem with wife not being able to identify her own husband,the concept and the message delivered to the society is a good one in rab ne.Whereas ghajini doesn’t convey any message to me. I mean there’s nothing to take home.Ghajini is too violent and depressing too.Plus I noticed the above flaws in the movie.
Next regarding the flaws, it has been answered many times here. To repeat, Ghajini is a masala film. It doesnt make much sense to look for logic in such films. Whereas in Rab Ne, the flaws were severe. A heavily flawed Husband – Wife relationship is hard to digest, you dont make a mockery of the most intimate relationship that exists. Again its just my personal view, it was probably the high expectation factor that killed my Rab Ne experience.

1. was he nominated for Namastey Londen, Waqt,Jaanwar & Khakee which for me and critics were liked the most.

the above things make me feel that u get nominated only if its a popular role and i thnk this was the same reason y aamir started neglecting the award functions, i thnk it happened to him for jo jeeta wohi sikhander.

Aamir Khan wasn’t as big in the 90s as he is now.
Its really hard to pick the Top 3.. because although Amitabh Bachchan was bigger in the 70s, Dharmendra delivered more hits. During the 70s, Dharmendra had 16 hits, Rajesh Khanna delivered 12 hits and Amitabh Bachchan had 10.
