Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has replaced Aamir Khan as the Brand Ambassador of ‘Incredible India’, a campaign by the Tourism Ministry of India.
Big B is expected to officially sign as the face of the Incredible India campaign in a couple of days from now.
Bachchan was chosen after Aamir’s contract McCann Worldwide advertising agency ended earlier this week.
Earlier today, Aamir had released a statement which read “It has been an honour and a pleasure for me to be the Brand Ambassador for the Incredible India campaign for the past 10 years. I was happy to be of service to my country, and will always be available for it. I would like to clarify that all public service films I have done till date have all been free of any cost to me. It is always an honour for me to be of service of my country, and this is how it will always be. It is the prerogative of the government to decide whether they need a brand ambassador for any campaign, and if so, who that ambassador should be. I respect the decision of the government to discontinue with my services. I am sure they will take all appropriate steps to do what is best for the country. Whether I am brand ambassador or not, India will remain Incredible, and that’s the way it should be.”

Good choice. I saw this coming after Intolerance remark. Honestly speaking if Aamir continued to be brand ambassador, people won’t take the campaign seriously. Every good thing come to an end, it’d indeed a proud moment for Aamir to represent that campaign long time successfully.
Wish Aamir didn’t said those words about intolerance of India, he has made many haters and hurt feeling of many Indians.
So sad to see that people without seeing his interview and reading his statements have branded him traitor or anti-national.

Aamir took India to oscars and BAFTA, he made a show called Satyamev jayate by refusing film offers.
He always made quality films unlike other actors.
