Akshay Kumar has announced his next film with his ‘Baby’ and ‘Special 26’ director Neeraj Pandey. The film, titled ‘Rustom’, will release in theatres during the Independence Day weekend next year.
Interestingly, the same weekend has been booked by Ashutosh Gowariker’s ambitious period film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead.
Not only does it set up a massive clash between superstars like Akshay and Hrithik, but it’ll also be a clash between two of the most acclaimed directors in the industry, Neeraj Pandey and Ashutosh Gowariker.
Hours before his 48th birthday, Akshay made the announcement on Twitter.

Don’t know about collections but Neeraj -Akki combination we can surely feel movie will be amazing, Neeraj is the best director in bollywood along with raju hirani and Akki sir is really a great actor .

so I think koi bhi movie postpone ho sakti h.i hope so bcz eid diwali par toh thik h clash ab just ek exrta holiday ke liye bhi clash hoga tho kya hoga…
salman will have enough time to complete his next film after sultan so he should come up with dabangg 3 and clash with dangal.

The clash will not happen. Akshay should postpone its release.
Akshay and Neearj pandey may not be aware about Hrithik’s film releasing on same day. Hence just made an announcement. You just cannot clash with Hrithik when he is coming to screen after 2 long years break. Specially not akshay who has almost 4 releases per year.
But as per recent news they both are neighbors and good friends. The clash should be avoided in any case.
