With Holiday going on to be Akshay Kumar’s 3rd film in the 100 crore club, the actor shares the 3rd spot with Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn in the all time list of actors with most 100 crore grossers.
Salman Khan continues to lead and with the KICK trailer garnering positive reviews, the Eid release is likely to be Salman’s 7th film in the 100 crore club. He now has three films more than the second best, his arch-rival Shahrukh Khan with 4 films. Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar share the 3rd spot.
Ajay’s films, except Golmaal 3, have all been controversial 100 crore grossers. While Singham and Bol Bachchan managed to just about cross the 100 crore mark, Son Of Sardaar fell well short, although the official numbers pushed the film into the 100 crore club.
Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor have 2 films each.

100 crores is not a big deal now. Even ranveer singh and arjun kapoor films can make it. .megastars are targeting for 200 crores where only 3 actors there viz amir(3i,d3), hrithik(k3) and srk(ce).

Released with ap ka surroor and deol’s apne. So due to competition, could collect only 15 cr at bo and was declared flop. Movie was hugely appreciated from acrooss the borders and had many re-runs in usa and pakistan. Movie over the time has got a cult classic status. Undoubtedly, his best work. Crook(emraan,neha) — bad story,screenplay and bad direction. Was critical and commercial failure . Suri’s worst work. Had chartbuster songs though. Collected 18 cr at bo. Murder 2 (2011)(emraan hashmi,jackline) — opened to thunderous response at bo. Released on about 1100 screens . Collected around 55 cr at bo. Faced stiff competion with singham,chillar party at bo. Got the best work out of the leads. Was declared a blockbuster at bo. Had good songs too. Ashiqui 2 (2013)(aditya,shradha kapoor) got good response from audience after getting -ve reviews. Music helped the film. Collected 75 cr at bo and declred blockbuster.

One thing is clear SRK & Salman are biggest crowd puller then other stars. Their movies cross 100cr even in worst condition.

But Amir, Akshay, Ajay, Ranbir & Hrithik all r depends on good contents and positive WOF for delivering 100cr movie.
Good article but my request to you please don’t believe BOI it is a crap website . BOI has a habit of always reducing the collections of movies and also a ridiculous habit of modifying or changing the verdicts of movies . Son of Sardaar has crossed 100 Crores and the total nett collections of SOS is 105 CR . Most importantly BOI is a U.K. based website so how can a U.K bssed website properly track the box office collections of Hindi movies . So Salman is 1st, Ajay and SRK 2nd, Akki and Aamir 3rd and Hrithik and Ranbir 4th . This is the correct order . I am not a hater of anybody i am a neutral fan and i watch movies of every actor . Salman Khan rules the 100 crore club. Nowadays, even newcomers are giving 100 crore movies, so its not a huge deal for superstars. We have also seen some 100 crore movies struggling to get a clean hit status. 200 crore club should get more focus now.

100 crore is not big enough in this huge increasing market of cinema. In 200 crore, there are few films namely 3 idiots, ce, KRRISH 3, DHOOM 3. The big question lies in 200 crore instead of 100 crore.

@sahir srk is not crowdpuller. Remember MNIK couldnt cross even 71 crore. He needs YRF, Dharma, Rajnikaanth, and holiday to give 100 crore.
All his recent films were holiday release. MNIK was non holiday and did only 71 crore.

Jai Ho is a flop. It had done 100 crs thanks to many factors :
1. Ruplic holiday ( Holiday was on sunday but still benefitted hugely)
2. Tax free in few states after 2 weeks ( I don’t understand why they made it tax free. Help 3 peoples, for saying that?)
3. 3 open weeks ( but no major films untill 1 month)
4. Saifai Mahotsav controversy etc ( Jai ho got huge publicity due to Salman controvesial performance in that event. All TV channels made a great deal abt it thus benefitting Jai Ho
If Jai Ho released on non holiday with 2 open week then it wouldnt have even crossed 75 crs. It ws a huge loss for worldwide distributors.
