Q. Can Anyone beat Salman’s 3 back to back 100 crore distributor share record (which would become 4 back to back after Sultan). And what will be the opening of Sultan on Holiday?
A. Records are meant to be broken. About 3-4 years ago, 100 crore (net) was a massive achievement. Now, it’s no big deal. With increase in the number of multiplex screens and ticket prices, 175 – 200 crore will be more easily achievable in the near future. So 3 back-to-back 100 crore distributor’s share, shouldn’t be difficult to achieve in a few years from now. Aamir might achieve the same record with the release of Dangal. He already has two back-to-back 100 crore domestic share films (Dhoom 3 and PK). As for Sultan releasing on Eid holiday (certain now, otherwise YRF would’ve announced a final date if they were not targeting Eid holiday), it should record the highest single-day and opening day collections. The target would be 45 crore plus, but a total of more than 40 crore looks certain.

Glad to know Hrithik earns way higher than Chakki. 3 Hgoty in 2000s is simple outstanding!!! Salman distributors share of 3 consecutive 100 cr can only be broken by Hrithik but with good content and good budget. Sky wil always be the limit for him.

If it releases on Eid day, then 45 cr would be the practical target; however, one cannot rule out 50 cr either. Because I remember Ek Tha Tiger. I expected it to cross 25 as the highest was around 21-22 at that time but it went on to cross 30 crores and that was massive for that time. Apparently, this is Salman Khan’s first release after ETT to get the first day as a national holiday. So fingers crossed, this Eid as well, har taraf hoga Bhai ka hi Jalwa!!!

Yes, 100cr distributor is not a big deal! But only for Bhai & Aamir. For people like bhagoda even 100cr nett is a big deal forget 100cr dist share. At present he is not able surpass 100cr mark (eg- billu 2).

I think Aamir can do 3 back to back 100cr share record but by that time Salman have 4 BTB 100cr (with Sultan) and before Aamir’s 4th movie, Salman have 5 Back to Back 100cr Distributors Share Record (with Tubelight)….So point is that breaking Salman is difficult because with each movie Salman add 1 more to his record….
