Shortkut Box office collections and fate

Shortkut starring Akshaye Khanna, Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao was expected to do well at the box office, as the movie was well-promoted and had enough buzz surrounding it. Unfortunately, it hasn’t done too well. The Anil Kapoor produced film was expected to do well, as Akshaye Khanna’s had a good 2008. Race was a super-hit and Mere Baap Pehle Aap did reasonably well and grossed (nett) close to 12 crores (more than 8 crores coming during the weekend) in week 1. So what went against the film?
