Dabangg 100 Crores: Fastest to 100 crores?

Dabangg 2 has collected Rs 77 crore in 4 days at the box office (Fri 21 cr, Sat 19 cr, Sun 25 cr, Mon 12 cr).  The film has an outside chance of crossing the 100 crore mark on Christmas. But the big cricket match between India and Pakistan and extreme cold in North India, might affect the evening and night shows today.

Dabangg 2 US Box Office: Excellent start

Dabangg 2 has opened well at the US (United States Of America) box office too. The film has collected $300,000 (Rs 1.65 crore) on Day 1. In comparison, Aamir Khan’s Talaash collected $490,000 (Rs 2.7 crore) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan collected 330,000 (Rs 1.81 crore) on their respective opening days.

Dabangg 2 UK Box Office: Good opening day

In the United Kingdom, the response to Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 was good. The film collected approximately £102,000 (Rs 90.95 lakhs) on it’s opening day. Considering the fact that most Bollywood action movies under-perform in the overseas markets, the opening day figures are very good.

Dabangg 2 Pakistan Box Office: Record breaking opening day

Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 has opened to a record-breaking response in Pakistan. The film collected PKR 1 crore (Rs 56.4 lakhs) on it’s opening day at the box office, making it the highest single day grosser in the neighbouring country and the first film to cross PKR 1 crore in a single day.

Aamir Khan’s Talaash has done well in it’s second week, with good jump in business on it’s 2nd Saturday and Sunday. The film is relying almost entirely on big-city multiplexes, where the occupancy at places was better than Khiladi 786. In fact, several multiplexes are running more shows of Talaash this week. With no releases this weekend, the Aamir-Kareena-Rani starrer still has an outside chance of crossing 100 crores nett in India. Detailed day-wise box office collections of Talaash below.
