Jodha Akbar Box Office Collections
Jodha Akbar opened slowly at the Indian Box-office, largely due to the fact that the epic love story had a restricted release at multiplexes across the country, due to disputes between the producers of the movie and multiplex owners.
Saturday, the disputes were settled and the Hrithik Roshan – Aishwarya Rai starrer released all over. The audience response to the movie was very positive and so were the critic reviews which resulted in excellent business for the movie. According to Box Office India, the collections on Saturday were almost double compared to Friday.
The movie is expected to do business worth 16 – 17 crores during the weekend, which is great for a movie of this genre. Remember a historical has never worked in a long time. Even Aamir Khan with Mangal Pandey failed and so did Shahrukh Khan with Asoka.
Can Hrithik do what SRK and Aamir couldn’t? Lets wait and watch!

Jodha Akbar is a tribute to Indian Cinema. Outstanding performances, artistic presentation, Brilliant perforamces by Aishwarya & Hrithik. Awesome music. A+ grade ratings. What a amazing director is Ashutosh Gowarikar. Jodha Akbar is a Masterpiece by Ashutosh. Jodha Akbar love story story telling presentation leaves you in Dreams as if you are in sixteen century… Congratulations we have one more entry for Oscars after’ taare Zameen Pe’ Jodha Akbar may win the Oscars for Indian Creativity in movies. I think Steven Speilberg will definitely see the movie & will be thrilled to see jodha Akbar. Absolute beauty is Jodha Akbar. It will go long way to break all Boxoffice records & will be Super Duper Boxoffice Hit

A fantastic movie on par with any Hollywood masterpeice. Fantastic acting by Hritik and Ash and all supporting cast. A magnificient movie. Definitely must see it again. Ashtosh has done a fantastic job with the direction. A.R> rehman’s music is awesome. Overall a brilliant film.

well its a MUST WATCH movie…Ashothosh gowariker once again proved to be one of the best director in the indian cinema…performance of Hrithik Roshan was superb…cant imagine any actor in that role..Aishwarya wow very very gorgeous…she looks too good in traditional dress than the modern…AR Rahman proved his magic again…songs like azeem o shahanshah,jashn bahara,kwaji,in lamhon,and manmohana all 5 songs were composed very brilliantly as per the circumstances of the period movie..vocals of javed ali(jshn bahara) really heart touching one…choeography,art direction,photography,cosumes have done brilliant job…Back ground score of AR Rahman were really fantastic again…hilighted scenes…war sequence,hrithik with elephant taming,choreography of song azeem o shahanshah and lot more…Over all the movie supposed to be biggest blockbuster of 2008…no doubt about it.

ya i saw the movie twice since it was released. that is on the first day first show and today, i found the film exceptional because i never saw a film like this. im not hritikh fan but i can say that it is his best perfomance till now.the combats, clothes, decor, jewels… everything was good. this movie will surely work for the first week but it might drop drastically in the second weak due of its lenght.it is 3.40 mins….but there is a feeling in me that tell me the film will be a blockbuster and as for the rajputs manifesting, it was already said it is a fiction not real history ok…

Jodhaa-Akbar is one of the best movies i have seen in the recent times. Hrithik and ash rocked in the movie. never appreciated ash much before, but her acting was so flwless in the movie. one cant help falling in love with her. and its no only the scenes with hrithik and ash but every frame of the movie was exceptionally shot. already seen the movie three times and every time was transformed into a world i never knew. Kudos to ashutosh for his ability to do that. A.R. Rehman again proved that he is THE MASTER. The brilliant part of his music was it blended so delicately into the movie. My favourite is “man-Moohana”. What a creation……AMAZING and Simply SUPERB… A must watch for any1 who appreciates good movie.Dont know and dont care if gets to oscars or not. It has touched thy heart so deeply. It has been so much pleasure watching the movie…I JUST LOVE THE MOVIE. amazing work …ashutosh

the film is good, just good.
it is not great, exceptional or fantastic.
the first half of the film makes u a little sleepy, but u wake up whenever ash and hrithik are together. they complement each other exceptionally well. what makes the film noteworthy is that it has a really superb second half. from hrithik and ash’s sword fight to the choreography of the song azeemu- shah- shehenshah and of course the one on one in the end with hrithik and his enemy.
overall great effort from everyone and as for the ratings i would give this movie 3 and a half out of 5.

Jodha Akbar is a must watch. What is important for a couple respect of love? In the era of instant velentine romance , film conveys an important message that mutual respect is biggest medicine for longivity of love. Absolutely fabulous film. Congratulations!!
