Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is known to be a perfectionist and it would be an understatement to say that he does very few films. In the same amount of time that he spends on finalising the script and cast of his films, Akshay Kumar would complete four films and two family vacations.
But on a more serious note, the combined collections of Aamir’s last three commercial films is equivalent to Akshay’s last 10 (from Special 26 to Airlift). And we are only talking about the domestic collections here, otherwise the overseas collections of PK alone is more than Akshay’s last 10 releases.
It has always been quality over quantity for Aamir and it has worked for him big time in the second and more successful half of his career. But with age no longer on his side, it remains to be seen if Aamir will do more films in the next few years.
The least gap between two Aamir films is when Rang De Basanti and Fanaa released 121 days or 4 months apart. The biggest difference was between Dil Chahta Hai and Mangal Pandey, when Aamir was going through a personal low. It could also be the biggest gap for an actor when he beginning to reach his peak, because it came right after the success of Lagaan and Dil Chahta Hai – two films that came at a time when the multiplex era was about to begin and the urban middle-class was coming out in big numbers.
On an average, Aamir does one film every 19 months.

His dedication is the reason why he’s at the top at present.Which actor would take a break when he’s at the peak of his career.Aamir did it twice after the stupendous success of 3 Idiots and Pk.After Ghajini he could easily continued doing massy commercial entertainers but he chose to do 3 Idiots and then a crime thriller a genre rarely explored in Bollywood.
Dangal deserves a solo release for the sheer amount of hard work Aamir has put in for this film.Waiting for another cult classic from the perfectionist.

Srk is very unlucky…when masala films were dominating he did multiplex films and now when niche films started to rock he di d three stupid masalas in row while salman and aamir are perfect in timing.

Gap & Strong content is only saving grace Aamir films… when Aamir will do content less movies.. sure it will not succefull.. because he is not Achieved huge Stardom like SRK, Salman & Hrithik… His movies only worked with the help of content or long gap…And Also not huge die hard fans his name..When Aamir film will release people’s talking about story & content… but other case SRK & salman people’s are going her fan…
let us to balance the effect of big holiday releases. Lets think that if bang bang(180+40%=250) agnepath(122+40%=170) znmd(90+40%=126) released in edx they would earn 40%more than they actually did.in this way hrithik five films including guzarish & k in this decade would earn in domestic 831cr from five 5films average166.5. Similarly mnik would do 100cr in big holiday release . If we assume that the clash made a film lose 50cr & one week after/before clash made it lose 25cr then dilwale would do 148+50=198,jthj(120+50=170),ce (227+25=252).so srk last seven films including happy new year 205,raone125,don2 116 in this decade would collect 1166, average 166.5.so hrithik is at par with srk.
It is not easy to release 4 films per year & still get decent collections.. AKSHAY should not be put down..
If AKSHAY starts doing films like Aamir (one in 1.5 year) then he will also do record number…
Aamir’s long waiting time between his films works for him but I doubt if he even does something like SALMAN & SRK (2 films in one year), he will not have the same success he is getting now..

Anyways akshays last 12 months domestic collection is 500 cr nd he had 5 releases. Plus the satellite prices of every film also increase the amount he brings .
Akshay completes 4 films and 2 family vacation compared with Aamir 1. Akshay reward is 60 below average flop disaster movies compared to 1 movie of Aamir overseas = combined 10 films of Akshay.
Salman 1 film = combined 4 films of Akshay domestic. Akshay combined collections of 2013 < far lower than Srk 1 film same year. Most overated said to be superstar of our generation.
But Akshay kumar is more loved by people than Aamir khan.

Aamir Khan’s films are a treat to watch..yes he makes us wait for the longest period of time but when his films arrive,they are worth every single second of our 19 month patience.. Having sky high expectations from Dangal- my most awaited film of 2016.. All the best Aamir sir.I hope u live up to the expectations, as usual.
