The first song from Ritesh Deshmukh’s upcoming film ’Banjo’ is out. The song has been titled Bappa. It’s a typical Marathi song picturised on the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai. Deshmukh, who will be seen playing the role of a musician, is seen singing as well as dancing to the song. Bappa has been sung by Vishal Dadlani.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has taken it upon himself to end the water crisis in his state, Maharashtra, with a competition under his ‘Paani Foundation’. The acclaimed actor had organised a contest called ‘Satyamev Jayate Water Cup Awards 2016’ through which villagers have saved ‘1368 crore’ litres of water. The amount of water saved is said to be equivalent to Rs 272 crore saved by the state every year.

Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro is sustaining reasonably well at the box office and the percentage of growth and drop over the extended weekend was quite similar to Rustom. But the problem remained the same, while Rustom is performing at a very high level, the collections of Mohenjo Daro are way too low to give the film any chance of recovering costs.

Kabir Khan’s Tubelight is one of the most awaited movies of 2017. The first shooting schedule of the film, which began in Ladakh on July 28, was wrapped up on 14th August. The cast and crew celebrated the completion of the first schedule by having lunch by a river (picture below). “We wrapped a day before schedule. So today all of us went biking and had lunch next to a river ‘Tubelight’,” Khan tweeted on Independence Day.
